why does Lucas think its a good idea to constantly tell people that hes broke, or that he hasnt had sex in like 9 years? what part of that is supposed to make him more appealing to women?

We wouldn't know most of his most embarrassing social pecadillos, without his big, dumb trap.
Hey Lucas: it makes you look like a LOSER to admit to the women of the world exactly how UNWANTED you are.
He could have pursued teenies with just as much zeal, but delayed his branding as SUPERLOSER by hiding his embarassing relationship "history".
Of course, by that same token, I'm sure he thought it was especially clever to mention that he had eight past girlfriends, remember?
Four his age, four older. Now, we all know at this point that all of this is completely untrue.
Lucas had one relationship with Suzanne, and when he lists his girlfriends, as he did on the golden USB podcast, he mentions people that he never had any physical contact with, and he even calls "relationships" where he hugged woman " one night stands".
Which is ridiculous, obviously, because a one night stand is just one night of sex and then nothing else. Not a halfhearted hug and then the girl shagging ass to get away asap.
But perhaps he decided to spin the 8 past girlfriends story, to make up for his inability to keep his mouth shut about how long he had been without a partner.
I don't know that I'm giving Lucas credit for that level of logic, actually. He may just have diarrhea of the mouth and be an enormous liar.
I expect most of the relationships he lays claim to were not considered as such to the girl.
As it is, he can barely keep the names / number of gfs straight.
After crowing for years about how he had eight past girlfriends exactly, when Goldaor tried to get him to get specific, and realized Lucas couldn't count, and listed as many as 9 or 10, Lucas got upset when this discrepancy was pointed out to him.
"I don't know, you keep track of it!" he said.
