I love how, when Isaac disagrees with him, Lucas oh-so-quietly whispers "punk ass..." under his breath.
Don't ever forget, not for a second, that Lucas is terrified of this 18 year old street kid, his brother, and most other homeless people.
Lucas's appearance makes him seem like he might be gruff and tough: his physical size, his beard, his crazy eyes, but when you get to meet him, Lucas very quickly reveals himself to be an adult baby, a giant pussy, a complete coward, and an utter loon.
He's the sort of person that has a bullseye on his back that says "take advantage of me!" to the kind of predatorial street people that you find in every homeless community.
And can you really blame them?
When you don't know where your next meal is coming from, and you have someone like lucas, whose vulgarity and terrible personality make him seemingly deserving of every karmic bitchslap, who among us, in their most desperate and financially challenged of moments, wouldn't take advantage of this big stupid fagot, who's very free with his money when he thinks that it's going to entice the object of his pedophilia?
Now, here's a person that you can treat like shit, abuse, and take advantage of, without feeling bad for one second.
I imagine, like most downtrodden communities, that the homeless of a given City probably have a tendency to look out for each other, and try to help each other, it's one part of the human spirit that seems omnipresent wherever people are oppressed or push down. But lucas's behavior probably makes people more than comfortable with excluding him from this normal kindness.
