She’s still a lolcow but her responses to those questions were surprisingly mature. I’ll give her this—she doesn’t send an army of fans after people who don’t like her. Tons of lolcows have probably done that.

Nah, I think it's just a facade, if she were really mature, she wouldn't draw her being upset with random characters on her comics or drawing her parents as grey-blobs.

I think it's a combo of immaturity, artistic laziness, and a whole mess of unwarranted self importance. Everyone is a grey blob but her. Her opinion is the only opinion that matters. She is the center of her universe and everyone that questions it is wrong.

Half agree. "Asexual acceptance" is still very trendy and saying het aces aren't LGBT+ will get you vilified, but Luna tier ideology? Nah, nobody's got time for that bullshit.

the problem with ace blogs or cartoons or anything is that it's really hard to have continuous content about not being into something, so it'll always devolve into getting further into the trashcan of ideology. same with atheism or childfree stuff.

Eh, from what I’ve found Asexual as a trend is really only popular among Tumblr asexuals, and the interest putters out the further you get from that community circle. Even the LGBT Tumblr circles seem like they’re getting increasingly fed up with the asexual groups because of the constant toe-stepping and detailing Tumblr Asexuals have to do in order to seem like they totes have real problems.

reading through this thread just reminded me of something.
:powerlevel: the other day a friend of mine who happens to be lesbian brought up how she first discovered she was into women.
apparently it started out when she was in middle school and really wanted to be friends with certain girls. she didn't realize that those were actually just intense gay crushes until she looked back at it a few years later. it wasn't overt sexual attraction from what i could gather, but she didn't go into much detail either. i'd assume that the attraction was kind of starting to form but since she probably felt like girls aren't supposed to be other girls, she mistook the attraction for the strong obsessive feelings?

the fact that luna is obviously super thirsty for girls but is ashamed of it and hiding behind the label of "agender panromantic asexual" is really just pathetic. that one comic where she's blushing like an anime character over another woman. that's the exact post that reminded me of the convo i had. like come on dude. you're fuckin gay. just because you're not feeling unbridled sexual thirst for other women doesn't mean that attraction can't present itself in other ways. it doesn't make you asexual to not want to scissor every cute girl you see into the ground. christ.

a part of me wants this chick to wake up and realize that nobody is actually out to get her(except for the people that meme on her shitty comics) and embrace the fact that she's just a cis lesbian. maybe she doesn't know that you can still rack up oppression points for that and you don't need fancy gender labels either.

i also kinda wanna fix some of her art. her faces have improved but the rest is still a dumpster fire. maybe if i have time i'll post it in the redraw thread.

I also think the reason she is denial is maybe because she accepts that agender asexual bullshit label to piss off her parents, see the comic when she corrects her mother to use "they/them"pronoun and to be called Luna, if she admits she's in fact the same girl but with "she/her" pronoun, it would probably means that her parents was "right" about that her non-binary thingy was a "phase".
