I don't think most of your actual fans are watching the YouTube videos anymore, especially since YouTube enjoys banning the latest archive channel every 3-6 months. The alt sites are just easier to find the archives on, and they're available within an hour of the stream ending. And there's probably little growth as well, since the Google trannies don't want anything you make to have any kind of visibility. And even if they do pull up the stream on YouTube, they'll usually watch it and move on.

People who are commenting on the YouTube archives are going to mostly be people who have something to say about you specifically, which will most often be negative. If it was positive, it'd most likely be posted here where you could see it and they can get updoots. If it was topic-related, they'd post it on the related thread here, or on 4chan or something where it could be discussed. If you look at the clip channels, they tend to be more positive.

I think there are still a good chunk of genuine fans watching on YouTube though. The most popular archive videos get anywhere from 20,000 to 25,000 views (last time I checked), and I sincerely doubt that majority of those are obsessive haters or troons.

Isn't the solution to #twittergate to download any videos you were going to play first and then nobody knows where they came from, which then just leaves text posts. If the cheddar don't say it's origin on the package then the consumer don't know their Albuquerque from their Algeria.
 
DSP Update:

The new Yakuza game Infinite Wealth came out the other day. The plot of the game is something along the lines of a fake video gets made on the main characters, a vtuber covers it on her show, and all the main characters get #cancelled. Phil being the delusional idiot that he is started going on about how the developers saw his entire online career and based the game around his "plight". Later on, he proceeded to rant and yell at all the trolls and Kiwi Farmers for wasting their lives ruining his.


Bonus: If you give Phil your mailing address, he'll send you a spoon in order to eat shit out of his ass.

IDK what the fuck twittergate is, but as a certified hater of twitterfication of content, the issue is not a video or content specifically from twitter. The issue is twitter has a weird effect that I've seen in many podcasts where someone who can't handle it becomes very insecure, spends significant time in each episode whining about arguments they had on twitter looking for their audience to give them ass pats, and their content turns gets poisoned by the cringe.

You do tend to focus on the most extreme examples of those who disagree with you and chalk it up to "everyone who disagrees with me".
Like during the cheese thing, it seemed like you purposely ignored everyone who had a good point and would only reply to the easy to defeat arguments. During that I couldn't tell if you were mad or just joking around with some responses like "Where does the cow come from niggah?" I saw this as a joke and probably piled on thinking you knew it was a joke. Then you went on that dudes podcast and wondered why "we" were so crazy and obsessed over cheese.
I was taking it from the point of friendly shit talking, it's possible these people are just feeding back (heh heh) to you what they think you are doing to them.
I do see you as argumentative and unreasonable at times. I'm not going to hate you for it. As much as I disagree with you I always emphasize when it comes to things like the DSP board. You're trying to balance the site to keep existing and still allow the differently abled to make fun of a shut in.
Tldr: If they are serious fuck em. The audience for Mati is more unhinged than the general posters I see.
