This month activist politicians in a Japanese city, in defiance of the highest court's verdict that homosexual marriage was unconstitutional, opted to declare homosexual couples as a union in the registry anyway.
This way, even if a marriage technically did not occur, the two people are registered as a couple in the official registry and benefit from all the same privileges as a married couple does.
One step closer to them being able to adopt/buy little boys.

In order to give Null a steady stream of money to support what he does, because sam hyde and other people had the same thing done with them, I asked Josh if he wanted to do an audiobook through superchats a few verses at a time. I asked whether he would like "John, Hosea, or (something wild) Enoch?" He said he didn't care which, but instantly in the chat people started getting upset that Enoch was even mentioned. So next week I asked, to make fun of the people upset over an audiobook request if he was fine with Enoch. He said sure. So yeah we have been doing a bit of the book each week. And despite me making multiple posts Post post2 explaining what Enoch is, it's historical context, why it is an important book, people still get very upset that Josh is even reading it. And if it gets Josh more superchat money from spergs to delay the dreaded reading of 2nd temple apocryphal works for another 4 days, then all the better.

I'm not a full-on keyboard autist but I like browns. Blues are good if you want to drive everyone insane when you just have your mic open, they clicketyclicketyclickety. Super satisfying if you like that click but people will 100% rage on you if you subject them to it lol, it's the quintessential "I have a nice keyboard and want everyone to know it" key, If you're building your own keyboard, switches and all, Clears could be a fun choice. Most keyboards use them for the space bar, they have a bit more resistance/bounceback if you're heavy handed when typing and kind of a unique sound. Clears are very similar to browns, just 40/110 cN actuation force vs 30/80. Personally I like the idea of a little extra resistance because I'm bad about resting my fingers on keys which leads to some extra unintended inputs when gaming but it's hard to imagine how much of a difference it would actually make and I can't say I've ever seen an all-clear keyboard for sale.

No real opinion on keycaps or brands for the actual keyboard. I have a Masterkeys Pro S with Browns which I don't think is sold anymore. Not sure I really recommend it, I get doublespaces between words sometimes and I think it's just because it's way too complicated of a keyboard and definitely not because I'm a terrible typer, it's more or less a computer in its own right. One of the RGB settings is Snake and you can play just plugging it in to a wall charger which was fun for about 30 seconds and I never used it again. The software for setting up the RGB was nice and simple and you can also set it up on the keyboard itself with macros, no software required, but I honestly just set everything to red and left it there so if I can just find a nice keyboard with static red backlighting and no frills/software to contend with that's what I'm going to grab next time
My brother's had a Ducky for about five years now and he hasn't had any trouble out of it. It's a nice mainstream-ish brand if you just want to grab one and be done, or buy one to throw your own caps onto
If you put a gun to my head and told me I had to buy a new keyboard today it'd probably be the Ducky One 3 Aura Tenkeyless with MX Browns. Basically identical layout to my current keyboard and the Aura has a translucent body/keys which tickles my nostalgia bone. It has socketed switches so if one ever dies it should be easy to fix. If not that then just the plain One 3 TKL. Not sure exactly what you were looking for when it comes to the legs/footpads but it has three settings to use, flat, low, and high. When I have trouble with feet on electronics I just buy some of those rubberized door bumpers from the cabinet hardware section at Lowes, they're grippy but not too grippy, so they don't slide at all while you're exerting downward pressure but if you just want to shove it around your desk without having to pick it up that helps

Disagree with the generalisation that depression is a choice. Fortunately, the SSRIs compel me to not argue to care if I'm right so I guess you win by default.
I disagree with Josh's generalisation that depression is a choice as a blanket statement, because it's extremely relative. What I would agree is that your attitude is a choice, and for the majority of people it's purely a mental obstacle. It was for me. I remember reveling in feeling sad because I wanted to self-pity, and in a way it's self-harm akin to people cutting themselves. You deliberately make yourself feel worse because you want to feel something; because the rush of feeling melancholy in your twisted mind is more favourable than genuine self-improvement. But eventually I did decide to just ignore and cut out sources of discomfort or sadness in my life and just focus on what I enjoy, and my mood improved pretty quickly. I'm not everyone, however, and I know that there are people who are severely depressed to the point they don't want to wake up, they don't want to bathe, and at my absolute lowest I know I had times where even things I enjoyed all blurred together into this annoying, tiresome sensation. There's people whose lives can't be improved by telling them "it's all in your head, bro. Just stop thinking about it." At that point, it's not even anything specific. Everything feels dull and lifeless. Also I can understand the lack of sympathy for suicide victims in terms of harming their immediate family, and I'm sure it's easy to look at it for afar and say it's a selfish act, but in the words of Ethan Ralph, "I can't cosign that" because I know even when you are at your lowest, that's usually the one thread left to keep you alive. Objectively, yes it is selfish and you probably are traumatising a lot of people, but at the same time I find it hard to be so callous to automatically dismiss everyone who does it as some cowardly loser.
My experience with SSRIs has been generally positive, but I was not diagnosed them for depression. It was for OCD/anxiety, because there was a time 6-7 years ago when I had severely intrusive thoughts and couldn't even function without getting into mental gymnastics and Hegelian dialectics about the most inane shit possible, to the point I was pacing rooms ripping out bits of my hair trying to "solve" puzzles for myself. In that regard, I felt the meds helped a lot and even under similar situations, I've never felt as bad as I did then. I've never felt they helped to make me feel less depressed. They don't do anything in that regard; worst case scenario, it's a placebo to me. Even though I don't think they're zombie pills, I know a lot of people who do and it's understandable why some people feel that way. In my experience, talking to someone works better. In my opinion, it should be diagnosed on a short term basis, like most medication. If someone is extremely bad, like I was, it provides a way to suppress some of the voices and, in conjuction with other treatment (therapy, CBT, just opening up to some people), most of the time that should be enough and you probably never need to go on SSRIs ever again.

It’s really important to taper off them as your brain is used to getting serotonin from the medication and then all of a sudden it’s gone. I imagine the longer you’re on them, the longer you would need to taper off so (hopefully) your brain can do its job.
Ideally, you would use SSRIs to lift your mood enough to develop habits that would naturally increase your serotonin like good sleep, hygiene, diet, exercise, hobbies etc. It takes 2 months for it to build up in your system (or thereabouts) to start seeing any changes.

As for the psych talk I have found that many disorders are overdiagnosed now. One of the reasons is that everyone now even your primary do has to doctor the 5 question quick beck's inventory and its very easy to overdiagnose when your putting out such a large net.
But drugs do work with people who actually have issues. Most of the people I work with are as bad as they are because they are untreatable with the anti-psychotics. They only respond to the old school ones that have tons of side effects but without them many of them would be dangerous to themselves or others.

Because it was posted in A&H - I watched the rest of the court session (the judge livestreams his court sessions for some reason) and at 2:35:26, a tearful black girl makes a case for leniency due to her disability, her two children and her new job, and that she had been seeing a therapist and asks for a second chance after failing multiple sobriety tests via Soberlink, but the prosecutor and that same judge point out not only had she failed her first test less than 24 hours after her last hearing, not only had she missed or failed multiple tests over the course of just 12 days, she had somebody else attempt to tamper with the Soberlink and later take the test for her. The judge remands her and remarks "your deception...can't be excused!", and all I could think was this is what 'real-ass nigga' Nick Rekieta should be facing on bail, and would be facing if he wasn't shielded by his parents money. These are the consequences that real people face when they can't buy a respite from reality.

Took me multiple days and I still haven't finished the Kino Casino stream with Josh, but I'm up to date with the Nick fiasco finally.
I didn't live through the pillstream since king hog wasn't that much on my radar, but my god, watching the coke stream and it's insane fallout has been such a huge treat. A treat that tastes if disappointment, the consequences of choking on your own farts and how being friends with a degenerate that dresses like a cow and enjoyes being fucked in the ass while he humors a pedophile will ruin you, but a treat nonetheless.
I have to ask, has there ever been such a savage fall from grace in lolcowdom? Never knew Nick had it in him, fucker went full 100% speed run and went beyond the pale. Really had that Gokugetem attitude to become a joke and a monster in record time.
