The last take I had that was poorly received was… saying Republicans lost referendums on abortion. Which is just a fact.
So obviously ruffling religious feathers is the issue here. These comments are being uncharitably interpreted by religious people. But the fact is, when we mock Right Wing Islam Simps, we’re essentially talking about Nick Fuentes’ followers.
And who gave Fuentes his early clout? Well, the more religious nationalists who interpreted the old alt-right’s failure as stemming from a hostility to religion and being too secular. Fuentes’ original brand was using religion to seem more normal and covert.
Now there are some saying they won’t vote for Trump because… he is pro-IVF and pro-“abortion pill”. And you had Matt Walsh, when these abortion referendums went down, openly saying being pro-life matters more than being electable. And in prior decades their forebears gave us Dubya.
If I had this kind of track record I’d be more modest. Especially since we have no way of knowing if anyone professing religious identity actually goes to church.
You wrongly assume that I support this, and am not simply offering an alternative point of view that you have not considered, possibly because you have XX chromosomes.
When you argue with dumb people they always think the debate is you failing to parse their feckless point.
I didn’t say you “supported it.” I said you felt personally slighted by my take on these people and fell into the same traps they have. Not the same thing! If I said homos can use the priesthood at a closet to hide in… and a Catholic gets mad at that… I’d understand it’s because they dislike what they think I am implying about Catholicism.
Your ‘alternative point of view’ is a banal and cliche point that people who don’t even attend church also believe because it essentially goes without saying. It was redundant and obvious. Stating it like it’s some haymaker is stupid.
Moreover… it doesn’t explain the subset of people who choose Islam since there’s a wider band of people who do not with the same objections. Or why those people act as populist Western right wingers while supporting Islam in the way they do. Being as dumb as a dune coon is the decisive factor there. And I suspect why you took personal offense.
You also don’t seem to get, given your comments about fags and niggers in the church, that the Islam simps Null was scrutinizing in the first place are Fuentards. Fuentes is a a fag. And Islam is niggery. Having too much of either were your main points about the Christian Church. I wouldn’t disagree with that either… unless you were saying then Fuentesian Islam Simpery makes sense as an alternative while disdaining any further look at the situation.
The truth is they’re just dumb so don’t apply their beliefs consistently, have no place in the prevailing system so they are drawn to the e-right like many others, and have a shallow philosophical outlook which can’t resist ‘scoring’ religions by how retrograde they are. Because, if nothing else, the emotional truth is they feel distinguished from modernity.
I stand by my gorilla nigger comments. I’d also add that you know far too much about the production of Eva to call anyone else out on anime.
