Yes it means we failed as a collective. No that doesn't mean we should just deny it.

Agreed. Null's giggles are absolutely contagious. Also, thanks to Josh saying that one dude was in love with his therapist, I'm now hoping for a modern trooned What About Bob? remake. Here's hoping some budding screenwriter makes it happen. Edit- Upon further consideration, they already made Silence of the Lambs and thats where it would end up, anyway. I guess its kinda pointless.
