That reminds me of two Steam games, one is dismantling moored ships for scrap, the other is the same thing but spaceships. The space one has a retarded commie plot but the actual endless gameplay of floating around starship and peeling their hulls off & unhooking the engines is really relaxing. I still play them on and off so it must be pretty satisfying work IRL too. Another one of those jobs that you just have no idea how to break into but sound cool.

might be a coverage issue, I don’t think starlink can tell the difference between a tree and a dropped ping. It’s relying on satellite triangulation (pretty sure)
Newer satellites have RF laser comms so they can chain together but they still have a connection limit of about 900 KM to the ground stations (visible on that map in supported countries)The farther you are from that comms station the more fragile the connection and I’d imagine that close to China there’s no way you’re just going to be allowed to chain all the way back to the European servers
you can use that link and your location to schizophrenically interpret the static. wait for a large cluster to pass and compare the ping times and packet loss to more bare times.

I don't recommend that route, I don't think Jersh can handle it, it's pretty jarring going from tech field into the trades, I've personally train guys who did this and they don't last long, maybe a year max before they realize that it's shit pay and way more demanding on the body. Dude better off doing wood working on side while doing IT contract gigs.

Before i got into construction most of my jobs were sedentary. you dont have to be in the best shape and most of the boys i work with aren't. My advice was to aim higher and go for skilled trades like plumbing as you are much harder to replace and can go solo easily.

At some point in the last 20 or 25 years, technology reached its zenith in terms of effectiveness and usability. But then everything started going the wrong way. The technology was used for evil and our benefactors started breaking their own toys to better service their own bottom lines.
