I wanna learn how to grow from seeds so I can survive the apocolypse
You need to learn how to
save your seeds, because when the apocalypse hits there isn't going to be any convenient source of seeds.
Tomatoes: Harvest a very ripe tomato, put seeds in 1 cup of water, cover with plate, ferment on the counter 3 days, rinse seeds, set to dry 1-2 weeks, store in cool darkness, keep dry.
Cucumbers: Leave a cucumber on the vine until the vine is totally dead (it may change color from green to yellow) scoop out the seeds, put in a cup of water, cover with plate, ferment 3 days on counter, rinse, dry for 1- 2 weeks, store in a cool, dry place.
Peppers: Let a pepper ripen for as long as possible on the plant, cut open, pick out the seeds, and dry them for a week or two. Store in a cool, dry place.
Green Beans: Leave one or two plants alone, don't pick the beans, let them mature all season, harvest when plants look almost dead, let dry inside for a few days, shell the beans continue drying for 1 - 2 weeks, store in a cool dry place away from moisture
Parsley: Won't give you seeds the same year you plant it, it's a Biennial, the seeds come the following year after plant has established. Wait until seed heads are dead and dry, harvest then dry etc.
Basil: Easy, leave one plant to flower, bees pollinate, when the flowers are all gone the seeds are in those dried up, dead looking heads at the end of the season, crush heads, sift out the little black seeds. store in a.....you get the picture.
....But none of these plants have calories, you need to learn how to save potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, or soup beans/peas. No idea how you save potatoes, I imagine it requires you to keep them somewhere all winter dormant, soup beans/dry peas would be easy, the seed is the same thing you eat. Corn would be easy to save, although it's wind pollinated, so your non-GMO corn is going to get pozzed (not really a huge deal) by all the other stuff being grown around you, unless you put special covers on every head (lol some people do). Animals also love to eat your corn, bastards. Grain might be something to grow, but you have to process it somehow. Dry beans fly under the radar though, big animals don't tend to eat them, easy to grow, easy to save, no special equipment needed to process. Winnowing beans can be done on a breezy day. The only downside, is when the apocalypse hits, you're going to be farting a lot from all the beans you now have to eat
lol BRAAAAP, I'm survivin' BRRAAAAAP!

That video perfectly encapsulates my relationship with computers, it never fails to make me laugh. Perfect 10/10.
