There is a funny story on the fediverse. So one guy made a post saying that the anime community fucking sucks (big shock) and it got many nodes including poast mad. So they spammed him with a bunch of loli and anime shit in the reply. He got madder and made a throwaway account to fed post, and the feds are looking into it. All because of butthurt anime lovers.

I've never understood the Raymond obsession and the biggest flaw in New Horizons is that Nintendo didn't go balls to the wall and hire a mountain of writing staff to give each character individual personalities. If the potential interactions seem endless, I'd actually be invested in the lives of my residents instead of focusing on maximizing the profitability of my fishing trips. The same 4 archetypes across the entire cast is frustratingly boring.

I mean anime is really just like movies. There's legit art out there like 2001 or Citizen Kane, and then there's also porn.
Likewise you have some anime that's high quality, and a lot of porn.
I mean is anyone going to argue that Ready Player One is a superior film to Belle ONLY because of the medium? (Heck one could probably go on for awhile about how Belle is a movie about kiwifarms with the Beast being a stand-in for NULL. It even looks a bit like the slobber mutt.)
And yes, I'm aware weebs aren't helping the case. I'm just saying as an autistic robot it's annoying that one of Speilberg's worst films is more able to be discussed than a more adult and thoughtful examination of online identities and the consequences of doxxing.

the other tidbit people don't know about prohibition is that many of the states (if not the majority of the US population) was already dry! Check cuckipedia (a). @Null You may be interested in this series of videos put out by Louis Rossmann on youtube. Louis owns a laptop repair business in Texas, formerly in New York and also currently operates a nonprofit with over a million dollars in the bank that advocates for right to repair against companies like Apple and John Deere. This may be important for a schizo conspiracy theory later. Regardless, the videos themselves showcase the extreme incompetence of the new york state government. Warning: this is quite long.
Part 1
Louis finds that a lien has been placed on his business by new york in 2016. It's only $1500 but he logs into new york's website and sees that he owes nothing at all. So he calls the new york state department of taxation and finance and someone tells him that they can't find any record of him owing them any money and he is told to call the new york supreme court instead. Despite this, he is able to find the lien by going to tax.ny.gov and looking up Rossmann Repair Group because it's public information. He is also told to call his county clerk's office.
Part 2
He calls the clerk and she claims that the new york state department of taxation and finance filed it directly into their system, so the clerk couldn't even tell Louis what it was for. He gets a warrant number from the clerk and calls the state department back to figure out what is going on. He is told that he has delinquent returns for 2012, 2013, and 2014. Then he is hung up on. He calls back after finding his physical returns for those years and he is told to call corporation and tax liability resolutions. Someone there tells him that it was filed in error and he owes nothing. The address they had on file was for a PO box in Maine. Louis has never lived in Maine and never visited it before 2020.
My favorite part is where he showcases some comments from a leddit thread all shit talking how retarded he is and how he didn't pay his taxes properly. Of course the hilariously stupid comments have been deleted by a moderator, LOL!

Very depressing video because he wonders how much further along his business and life/family could have been if he had been allowed to grow properly as other businesses were.

The clerk at the post office tells him that the PO box is vacant and that they return mail to sender using paperwork declaring that they were unable to forward to the correct address. This implies that the new york state government would have been receiving notices from 2013 to 2015 that they were sending mail to the wrong address. They were cashing his checks for his tax returns, receiving notifications that they had the wrong address on file, and never did anything about it other than take his money.
Part 5
He calls the post office back because he accidentally gave them the wrong number. The box is open for someone but their records only go back to 2018. He then asks if mail was sent to that box with the wrong name, would it get sent back? Yes, it would. Therefore the new york state government has definitely been getting their notices back. He also calls the owner of the box which is some random business/woman, and they confirm that they don't have any of his mail. He calls NYS taxation & finance back. They tell him they don't know how the address got on his file and direct him to some other department or some shit. He waits on hold for hours and then is hung up on again. He calls back and is told by the system that they simply have too much work and will not be getting to his call. At 1 PM on Wednesday. He starts to seriously consider legal action because of how mistreated he was by the new york state government.

He calls the new york supreme court to find out how he can have a lien or a warrant placed on him without being properly served, because on the lien it says new york county supreme court.
He goes through the robodialer and says he is representing himself and wants help. Nobody picks up and he is hung up on. lol.
Part 7
He calls the new york supreme court back. Someone actually picks up this time. He starts to explain his issue, and then is hung up on again. lol. Calls back a few times and is told that number is busy and to try again later. He then tries to call almost every combination of robodialer routing and never gets anyone to pick up after that first time. After 20 minutes of trying, he is finally able to leave a voicemail asking for a call back. Apparently a budget of 100 billion dollars is not enough to hire people to answer the phone at the new york supreme court at 12 o'clock on Monday.
Part 8
About an hour after the previous video, he finally gets someone to answer. After some bullshit about an index number, she actually decides she is curious and wants to check this out for herself because nothing like this has ever happened before. So she goes to "room 109" which someone else told her to do in the beginning of the call, so that Louis would not have to fly 1700 miles back to new york to do it. Apparently people in new york are fucking retarded because, instead of room 109 being next to room 115 which she is in, room 109 is in the basement. According to this woman, no matter how many times she asked the gentleman in room 109, he didn't understand that the warrant/lien was due to a mistaken address. She says she doesn't know how to put this delicately, but "The elevator wasn't going to the top floor there". She basically called that clerk in room 109 a retard. Honestly I don't even know, I think he calls the county clerk again or something. He asks the guy how he finds proof that he was served. He doesn't know, and says the new york state department should be able to answer. lol. He calls the state department again. After 20 minutes of random bullshit, someone picks up and offers to transfer him to another department (LOL). He stops her, explains his unique problem, and asks who would be the most likely to be able to give him any insight into how this happened. She insists he has to speak to collections, despite him telling her about collections telling him to speak to the supreme court, the supreme court telling him to speak to the county clerk, and the county clerk telling him to speak to the state department. He gets the same number he called the last two times.
Finally, Mister Gonzales of Civil Enforcement picks up. He seems more competent than almost all the others. After some more bullshit, he explains how the state issues warrants on people or businesses that don't file their taxes. Louis reminds him that he just wants to know how the state could have failed to notify him that he had a lien/warrant on him for like 7 years, despite him receiving other kinds of mail from the state, because the state had the wrong address on file. Mister Gonzales says that he sees no record of a Maine address being used or even recorded.
"I have no idea why such an address was given. But at this point, the important thing is the warrant is being vacated, and you're gonna get that notice soon."
Louis asks if there is anybody who is accountable for him never getting notified. Mister Gonzales tells him that the computer program probably automatically issued the warrant.
"As for that warrant, it was a valid issuance initially, and now upon review after the fact, they have decided, that warrant should never have been issued, and they are vacating it. So that's a way we can clean up something that may have been issued in error, or not necessary, based on further review of the case and the history"
Absolutely zero accountability. As a final thought, Louis tells Mister Gonzales that there were over 600 other warrants issued in the exact same week for the exact same amount. There may be 600 other people out there with warrants on them that they don't know about for tax bills that they have already paid. "At this point, everything is getting cleaned up, and your valid business does have a zero balance right now, so that's more important as well, that you have a zero balance and everything's running well on that."

Providing there's a segment on Ralph this week this might be amusing. ppp and warski sped up a clip of Ralph to 1.5 times speed during the paywalled show they did last week and discovered he sounds exactly like he did before he went off the deep end with the booze and pills. So I guess if you want a quantify the effect of extreme alcohol and benzo abuse it makes you act at .5 times normal speed...

Rewatching April 2nd 2021 - I'm white trash and I'm in trouble, hearing Ralph just starting to turn on Josh, but not quite going full retard yet, before there was a demon baby, gator being gator, and Josh remarking "Back when I took notes and put effort in, when I was dumb enough to think I could monetize these streams". It is really just remarkable how much things can change in two years. I continue to regard Josh's sheer tenacity as a thing of awe.
