I hate this. I hate the art and the topic and really I hate that I live in a country that worships regressive low iq third worlders. I hate the word "hijabi", I hate the white girl who produced this, and I hate the division that put out the mandate for content like this. I hate that Google went from employing the most talented engineers in the world to putting Liz Dong Long Gone into a postion where he could lord over those same engineers only because he is a disgusting freak who cut off his dick.

There's no doubt she was useful, it's just hyperbole train has lead to posts like this mocking the exaggerated story of the black man who "invented" AC:

Regarding that one article to help the donkey get rid of a blockage, Coca-Cola or other carbonated beverages can loosen or get rid of a certain type of blockage called PhytoBezoars (yes like the Bezoar from Harry Potter). Apparently the most common type humans get is a diospyrobezoar, caused by eating a type of unrippened Persimmon, and it has killed people in the past trying to pass these blockages. The tree that does grow in Florida, so you might have seen it around Null.
If your ever going to eat an astringent Persimmon in Florida, make sure its ripe, or it will fuck your shit up and you will have to go full american and chug coca cola to cure the problem.

Idk, my reading of that scenario was that he was sarcastically remarking about being blocked by Vito not expecting or hoping to be unblocked. I thought he was pretending to be offended but really he shared the same opinions as the rest of us. But if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Maybe he's just wants to grift off Dick to have more opportunities to publicly humiliate Vito's ugly fucking visage.

Exactly, the Ada Lovelace thing grinds my gears a bit, because the popular narrative is so ridiculous.

Charles Babbage was a pioneer in creating mechanical computers controlled by punch cards, starting work in 1822 on a prototype called the Difference Engine, and eventually coming up with a series of designs and prototypes for a more advanced version called the Analytical Engine. The Analytical Engine had some of the core features you would expect from a general purpose computer, including sequential control, branching, and looping. It also would have been the first mechanical computer to be Turing-complete.

The popular narrative would have you believe that this brilliant polymath spent decades building a computer, but didn't write a single "program" to perform a computation. It's just completely ludicrous. And in reality, Babbage had written multiple programs for the Analytical Engine 5-7 years before Lovelace contributed anything to the project.

In reality, we know little of Babbage's programming ideas. There is nothing in the surviving papers in which this aspect of the machine is thoroughly discussed, e.g., nothing corresponding to a specification of a user instruction set. This is the more remarkable for it is the only aspect of the design that is discussed at length in a contemporary paper. In 1840, Babbage visited Turin in Italy and gave a series of seminars on the Analytical Engine. An account of these, by Menabrea, was translated into English by Ada Lovelace, who appended extensive notes prepared under Babbage's close guidance. These deal with the familiar modern ideas of flow of control in programs, particularly the formulation of simple loops and nested loops controlled by counters. However, the paper and notes carefully and deliberately skirt around any discussion of details of the means by which these are to be implemented.

Ada Lovelace has sometimes been acclaimed as the "world's first programmer" on the strength of her authorship of the notes to the Menabrea paper. This romantically appealing image is without Difference and Analytical Engines 89 foundation. All but one of the programs cited in her notes had been prepared by Babbage from three to seven years earlier. The exception was prepared by Babbage for her, although she did detect a "bug" in it. Not only is there no evidence that Ada Lovelace ever prepared a program for the Analytical Engine but her correspondence with Babbage shows that she did not have the knowledge to do so. Babbage seems to have deliberately employed independent persons to convey knowledge of the Analytical Engine to the wider public in exactly the same manner as, a decade earlier, he had used the well-known popularizer of science Dionysius Lardner to convey into print a detailed account of the purpose of the Difference Engine.

Lovelace was involved, she did useful work in helping popularize, document, and translate Babbage's ideas, but her historical role is greatly exaggerated to promote a useful DEI narrative.

A lot of side characters tried to join in, but were as pathetic as John himself and became lolcows of their own. Anthony Cumia and The Compound is involved and RedBar also made fun of Steel Toe before all of this, but I think the recent popularity these people are having are all due to Stuttering John being an alcoholic, narcissistic failure of a man.

This is correct. The Cumia connection is the following: Aaron Imholte is a big fan of Cumia, copies him, and even wears Cumia shirts on the show. He also has tried to get in close with people associated with Cumia's Compound thing (Geno Bisconte and Chrissie Mayr, mainly). But the whole cycle of him getting in feuds and being mocked is more part of the Dabbleverse thing.

Aaron was also a big fan of Redbar until he started getting mocked.

Not to get repetitive but this is what happened. He asked "Why am I blocked by VitoComedy?" Then he retweeted Dick telling Vito to unblock him. Then he publicly thanked Dick for interceding on the matter. Then, when Vito said that he had blocked the account because "Honestly I'm just trying to surround myself with positive content these days" and that the art he drew bums him out, Just a Worm earnestly replied saying how he just does his drawings because he thinks they're funny and even does them of people he likes.

This is sucking up for clout, pure and simple. He's literally trying to convince Vito why he shouldn't be blocked. Maybe he also wanted a commission from them, who knows. Maybe deleting his Twitter account stopped him from becoming the next Mint Salad.

Made me think @XJosh was banned… almost made me regret buying a Cybertruck. Great little truck but me and wifey still use the Porsche first and foremost.

Seriously though I’m a moron, I cannot figure out how to send a Superchat I tried to do it via Oddysey and it was just greyed out. Can I only send super chats during the show because I am never listening live.
