I am a hate watcher. I used to spend time on a pop-culture website; I know more about multiple IPs, including, but not limited to GoT, The Sopranos, L O S T, and to some degree, The Wire, before giving up, than I have any reason to, solely from doing what I call "cultural homework." The only benefit is having the ability to dunk on these shows. Zero digging was had.

It's a narcissistic tactic to try and make his ranting about Null seem like "genuine critiques of character," instead of seething, scorned lover-esque insults, because Null won't sweep it up for him and feed into his ego.
