"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

at my walmart i was confused why half the self-checkout machines are always closed, i thought maybe they were just continuously broken, but I overheard the staff talking at some point and realized they actually shut them down if they don't have enough watching the lanes to stop the gibmedats. I also love the flashing "YOUR FACE IS BEING PUT INTO OUR DATABASE. DO NOT STEAL EVER!!!" that I get hit with despite being white.
It's all there to demoralize us. Total corpo death.

I miss a grumpy babushka asking me "Пакет нужен?" as she scans my bottle of квас. It made me feel human.

Open registers? What's that? Every store just has 20 closed registers and an open Self Checkout.
At Smaller stores Self checkouts are a big help. Nobody applies so most of the registers are unused. Really helped cut down on lines. Walmart really has no excuse for not being able to hire cashiers. I do encourage to shop at small family owned stores. They do still exist. Often they are using a franchise branding but there's still an actual owner of the store not just a manager.

Yeah, watching self checkouts for theft sucks and just in general. People really are stupid, they can't figure out how an alphabetical list works. You're watching for theft while also clearing errors, jams, etc. typically solo. A big reason in my experience why people walk out without paying is actually they put their card in and on many they still have to hit "pay with card" on the screen and it'll just keep saying pending otherwise. They think they paid and leave. I used to just go over and hit pay with card and it would charge them. It's awful design and has definitely cost stores money. Some don't have this oversight

Yeah, the cash ones do break or get jammed easily. Also, people are dumb. They put their card in where the cash goes, shove coins in there, kids do stuff to them. Bills jam up. It's actually kinda fun if you take it super seriously and see how fast you can unjam them. Tickles the mechanical fixing part of the brain like clearing a jammed gun.

Every motherfucking time, you have to get age verification for OTC cold/flu shit. During cold, and flu season, while you're sick.
400% improvement over standing in line behind an obese neighbor, attempting to pass a bad check, while a 'Rican chick hits the manager call button, and drops her hand down to her knife.

Does it say that the last digit has to be 1? I missed that before, and I don't see it here.
It's there in the question, if the last digit of an acceptable code is 1
The LSAT is literally just an IQ test with another name anyway. The utility of studying is fairly limited beyond learning and getting proficient at optimal strategies for the different problem types.
Fairly the same. Apologies for the um acktually but the general iq test or the fsiq which is the standardized test across the world measures perception and information processing more than intelligence (which is why it has questions based on 3d figure orientation, vocab, memory retention etc). I think what you're referring to is ravens progressive matrices which is the test with the problem figure questions, complete the series with the right figure, which is more complicated. Even that has only one type of problem solving compared to the 10 or so types generally asked in competitive examinations and hiring tests. This LSAT question in particular is not really complicated, in Asian countries they teach this stuff to 13 year olds so it's baffling to me personally that someone like Destiny cannot solve it.

After watching todays MATI I feel like I should give Josh and especially Tiny some hints for the LSAT question. Its like a general problem solving question asked all around the place and I have a bit of experience from just doing a fuckton of these timed, enough for 5 lifetimes.

You start working backwards from the facts at hand instead of listing all the possible combinations of the first two digits cause thats a waste of time.
If we were to take the number as mnxyz, then n=2m and x<z
If z in this case is 1 then theres only one number x can take considering theres only one number smaller than 1 and each number can occur only once, so x would be 0
The remaining numbers would be 2, 3, 4. To satisfy n=2m only one pair is possible, m is 2 and n is 4.
The given number would be 24031
So the correct option would be A.
Im gonna preempt and say, yes I know you dont care, I am sorry and I will fuck off.
This is the correct logic to solve the problem. Josh got both questions correct.
The third rule explicitly states that the value of the second digit must be exactly twice that of the first digit. This forbids zero from being in either the first or second position because:
  • If zero is in the first position, there is no other potential digit that is exactly twice the value of zero, since twice the value of zero is zero. The only digit that could fulfill this rule is another zero, which violates the no repeating digit rule.
    • Let n = 1, 2, 3, or 4
    • 0 * n = 0
  • If zero is in the second position, there is no other potential digit that can be in the first position that can have its value doubled to make zero
    • 1 * 2 = 2
    • 2 * 2 = 4
    • 3 * 2 = 6
      • This also eliminates 3 from being able in the first position, since 6 is not a valid digit
    • 4 * 2 = 8
      • This also eliminates 4 from being able to be in the first position, since 8 is not a valid digit
So Josh's logic stating that the first two digits must be 1-2 or 2-4 is correct. Because of this and the rule stating that no digits are repeated, 2 must always precede 3 in sequence, so his second answer is also correct.
If I'm logic-ing correctly, there are five possible codes:
  1. 1-2-0-3-4
  2. 1-2-0-4-3
  3. 1-2-3-0-4
  4. 2-4-0-3-1
  5. 2-4-1-0-3

Thanks, I wasn't able to make it out.

i was not high IQ enough to realize that taking an IQ test on stream would result in dumb people telling you you got answers wrong

there were multiple people trying to tell me that one of the first two numbers could be 0 because zero multiplied is zero, not realizing that the language "twice the value" precludes any multiplication of zero, because 0*2 is not two zeroes, it is zero. you can affirm that four is exactly twice two because 4/2=2, and you can affirm that two is exactly twice one because 2/1=2, but there is no number where n/0=2.

Apparently raping, beating and sex trafficking underaged girls is considered "free speech" now. I knew making a guy who follows the Tate's on Twitter the VP is going go result in something like this. Misogynistic homosexuals gotta stick together I guess. Candace Owens's husband is good friends with Tate as well, which is why she defends them so hard. Coincidentally her husband is also a closeted homosexual and Candace is his beard, same as Vance and his wife. What a fucking embarrassing mess these "conservatives" are.

Giving this fat faced meth-baby a position of power was a huge mistake.

It really seems as if the American neu-Right takes the approach of circling the wagons whenever someone within or adjacent to their circle gets attacked. I honestly wonder if this response is intentional or instinctual after the years of witnessing 'purity-tests' from the Left. The later always claimed to be a diverse movement, but the 'intersectionality' really ended up forcing a fixed dogma; the former have taken more to the 'big-tent' approach, even if that means welcoming in hucksters and miscreants. IMHO, this is only temporarily sustainable, as the big-tent is united only in being opposed to the previous Liberal order -- unity in opposition never forms lasting bonds, only temporary alliances.

How is Tate in their circle tho? He is not American. He is not conservative. He is not Christian. He is a brown, muslim, british national who lives in Romania because he thought the authorities there would be more lenient on his underaged sex trafficking empire. Why do conservative Americans consider him "one of us"? He is everything they claim to stand against.

IMO Tate is the right's Epstein. They defend him because they want access to the women and girls he sells.

For me it’s alcohol. I hate picking up a case of beer and not being out the door because so and so is demanding a coupon be applied and can’t figure out how the scan works while the person who’s supposed to check cards is away because fuck all knows why so a quick 2 minute trip turns into 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile when I go to pick up some nicotine pouches I just scan my ID, why can’t I just scan my ID at the self check out?

not realizing that the language
The Euros have a point in referring to it as 'maths', we don't have the early meme of 'group of differing rulesets.'
why can’t I just scan my ID at the self check out?
State law may require a visual inspection, to relieve criminal liability. Even at the county level, they may have a different standard depending on location (eg. Grocery store, convivence store, and liquor stores.)

That's why I also said 'adjacent', meaning not in, but being at this present moment next to; he's obviously not 'conservative' (which is really becoming a nebulous term now), but he's managed to piss off some of the same people who have been going after the right for many years -- enemy of my enemy is my friend type of thinking.

Why do conservative Americans consider him "one of us"? He is everything they claim to stand against.
As I previously posted, the paradigm on the right is 'big-tent'. You don't have to like it -- and I surely don't -- but that's how they are organizing right now. I would add more here but I would just be repeating the sentiment expressed in my last post.

Anyone ever hear of Raw Time with Tinarina? This video was suggested to me by the youtube algo
and now I'm seeing stuff about her pop up everywhere.
I think it's kinda intriguing that she did this show at the turn of the millennium in Austin Texas and 10 years or so later Ghost does TCR and gets people to troll him kinda the same. I really don't think there's anymore connection than that but I like to think that Tiffy hung up on people so Ghost could shake his cans. This is all new to me and I thought some in this thread might find it interesting if for no other reason than as a distraction from the usual sperging.

It's the UK, so I assume their only problem with him is saying naughty things on the Internet and having wrong ideas, not the 'brown Muslim man beating, raping, and pimping white teenage girls' part, which they seem to tolerate these days.
