Not just on X, she used to work for the biggest vtuber company & was their most popular english speaking streamer.
That's her before she quit & rebranded to stream independently. I know Null talked about it on a stream before when she got PB'd so I figured I'd bring up the Sweden thing cause that was a rumor that kept coming up.

I was into this shit around the time the first gen of holo en showed up, I know who she is.

I was thinking more along the lines of her hiring some jeet to run her xitter.

metokur is fine, I think his content can be interesting. His rekieta stream was pretty poignant, but I dont get the hero worship he gets. I mean he's an open and avowed anime nigger, and talks about a vtubers armpits and shit. That right there is fucking weird. On top of that the guy is going to the MAYO CLINIC and cant stop smoking. He says he loves his wife and does all this shit for her, but cant even give up a bad habit? I mean I know its hard, but come the fuck on man. There are real people out there that would kill to be treated by some of the best doctors in the world that deserve it more that treat their bodies better than Metokur.

Its the same shit with fatties. I do not appreciate fatties clogging up the healthcare system. Either pay for it yourself, or treat your body better. Cigarette smokers are loser retards that need to get a fucking grip and stop inhaling tar into their lungs, and then rely on the system when their own pertard is hoisted.

Much of the appeal of Jim was that he was amongst the first to make these types of videos and was able to find completely new people to laugh at. His videos were less about understanding crazy people and more about pointing at them being crazy. There was a charm in the simplicity of this fun.

Modern Jim appreciation is more of a parasocial relationship. People value Jim as a person and his opinions and want to hear them. The actual content he covers is much less relevant.

Because he's been around for as long as people can remember and he's been /ourguy/ for a long time (maybe he's not our guy anymore, but he was talking shit on retarded leftist ideology way back when, before it was even profitable to do so). The fact that people knew almost nothing about him for a long time and he would disappear for long periods of time also contributed to this myth of Metokur. He's probably the only one i can think of that can go years without making any content or having an internet presence, show up, and get 12k live viewers waiting for him to say shit.

Twitter Artist Hayden Clay has caused a whole meltdown of the /r/art mod team because he showed twitter screenshots of them being absolute powertripping jannies.
Allegedly this all kicked off because Hayden posted a picture to the subreddit; when someone asked him about acquiring a copy for their office he responded that he sells prints. Janny did not like that ONE BIT. After apologizing for breaking the sacred /r/art rules, jannie continued his tantrum and deleted the rest of his post history on /r/art before doing a reddit report to get him site-wide banned for 3 days.

Sitewide ban. For reference, reddit.com/report/ is a separate system that goes directly to site admins, not the subreddit moderators. Any action they take will be on the reddit account itself, not just that account's ability to use a subreddit. It is widely believed to be AI and/or outsourced to ESL people in some cheap country because of how trivial it is to abuse. Try it sometime if you're curious

This story blew up on twitter to the point that MoistCritical and other big youtubers were covering it, leading to the modmail (allegedly) getting swamped with people calling out the mods for being shit jannies. In response, one mod voluntarily resigned for the entire mod team in a janny tantrum. The subreddit also was locked and no new posts could be made Truly reddit artists everywhere will be devastated and lost without the mod team of /r/art

This was quickly retracted, because other jannies didn't want to lose their brooms. These were deleted, but caught by reddit archive sites. Other jannies posted screenshots showing they were arbitrarily debroomed by a higher janny, presumably the one who was upset.

Independently there and also on twitter I've seen speculation that the account causing the problem, /u/Melancholy_Mallard, is an alt of notorious powermod awkwardtheturtle who had a long history of causing problems among both users and mods before "retiring"

People have also been drawing a comparison to a previous /r/art incident in which the janitor banned "AI art" from being posted (you can just tell by looking at it, you know). When the artist offered to send a video of their process of making the art, the janny doubled down and said that they obviously weren't a serious artist because it looked too much like AI art.
