As someone who's been following the character.ai shitshow closely due to a few shitpost usages of it spurred on by forum related joke shit a while back I really find the fuckies really funny here.

The site isn't shutting down, the old CEO was an ex-google guy who at some point handed off the company to this jeet guy silently like 5 months ago. The thing being implemented here isn't a shutdown but a really buggy "age verification ai service" which actually did successfully catch the literal children the site which was already age restricted is now asking people who are adults to send over their ID and other personal info to a third party "ai powered service"

So tl;DR NOOOO STALKER, the jeet AI WILL NOT be shutting down, enjoy identity theft saar!

The constant violence filtering and trying to pander/change shit to be safer to the literal children they were trying to get off their site will never be a strange thing to me, but maybe the recent violence censoring is because people were getting results of the chatbots talking about killing indians or something.
