Carolla pronounces it "raw-blox" just like Josh does.
Uhm, it's actually rob-lox, sweaty. Originally the game was set in New York and the objective was to steal lunches from Jews at knifepoint, but they had to tone it down because beta testers complained.Roblox have been begging for their name to be mispronounced ever since they dropped the Rōblox. Even the original couple who started the whole venture did that because people mispronounced it back in the 2000s.
Rōblox had soul that rivaled Blockland.
Roblox has grown fat and diseased off of Blockland's corpse.

New Lawsuit Claims Roblox and Discord Are the Ultimate Tag Team for Abuse
A fresh filing alleges the two gaming giants are inadvertently working together to bypass child safety protections, just weeks after Roblox’s massive facial-scanning rollout.
New Lawsuit Claims Roblox and Discord Are the Ultimate Tag Team for Abuse
If you thought the “loot box wars” were the only legal headache keeping gaming executives up at night, think again. While we were all busy arguing about whether a 0.01% drop rate constitutes gambling, a much darker storm has been brewing—and it just made landfall in a California court.
In a bombshell complaint filed yesterday, December 1, a new class-action lawsuit alleges that Roblox and Discord have effectively become a “tag team” for child exploitation, creating what legal experts are calling a “predator pipeline” that neither company is doing enough to shut down.
The lawsuit, filed by a mother identified only as “Jane Doe S.K.” in the Northern District of California, paints a chilling picture of how modern gaming abuse actually works. It’s not just about what happens in the game anymore; it’s about where the game sends you next.
The “Platform Bounce” Problem
Here’s the gist of the complaint: Roblox is the handshake, and Discord is the living room.
According to the filing, predators are allegedly using Roblox’s colorful, innocent-looking servers to identify vulnerable kids. Once trust is established—often through the gift of in-game currency (Robux) or rare items—the conversation is quickly steered off-platform to Discord. Why? Because Discord offers encrypted messaging, private servers, and a lack of the “strict” chat filters that Roblox has spent millions implementing.
“Roblox is the hunting ground,” the complaint argues, “and Discord is the second location.”
What makes this lawsuit particularly spicy—and dangerous for the companies involved—is that it names both entities as co-defendants. It argues that this “platform bouncing” isn’t a bug; it’s a known feature of the ecosystem that both companies have failed to address, despite knowing for years that their platforms are used in tandem.
“Predators know that Roblox’s filters are getting smarter. So they don’t try to break the rules there. They just use it as a lead-generation tool and move the ‘business’ to Discord. This lawsuit is asking: Why aren’t these two talking to each other to stop it?”
Timing is Everything (and Roblox’s is Terrible)
You have to appreciate the irony of the timing here. Just last month, in November 2025, Roblox rolled out its most aggressive safety update in history.
Remember the headlines? “Roblox Bans Chat for Under-13s,” “Facial Recognition Age Checks Are Here.” The company touted these changes as the “Gold Standard” for digital safety. They even introduced a system where users have to scan their actual faces to access voice chat, theoretically ensuring that a 40-year-old man can’t pretend to be a 12-year-old boy.
But this lawsuit essentially says: That’s cute, but it’s worthless if you let them leave the building.
The plaintiff argues that the predator who groomed her daughter posed as a teenager on Roblox—bypassing the basic age filters—and then immediately shifted to Discord to “intensify” the abuse, soliciting explicit images and engaging in blackmail. The facial recognition update? It hadn’t fully rolled out yet, and even if it had, critics argue it wouldn’t stop a predator from simply typing “Add me on Discord” in creative ways to bypass text filters.
The “Walled Garden” Defense is Crumbling
For years, platforms like Roblox have used the “Walled Garden” defense. They say, “Hey, we can only control what happens on our servers. Once they click a link or open another app, that’s on the parents.”
This lawsuit challenges that notion head-on. It claims that because the two platforms are so intrinsically linked—Discord is effectively the unofficial voice chat of Roblox—they have a shared duty of care.
If this legal theory holds water, it could change the internet. Imagine if YouTube was liable for what happens after you click a link in a description? Or if Tinder was responsible for what happens when you move to WhatsApp? It’s a legal minefield, and the gaming industry is standing right in the center of it.
Insights
I reached out to a few legal minds and industry veterans (off the record, naturally) to get their take on this “Tag Team” lawsuit. Here is what they’re saying:
The “Link Ban” is Coming: “Expect Roblox to go nuclear on external links. We might see a future where typing ‘Discord’ in Roblox chat gets you an instant shadow-ban. They can’t police Discord, so they’ll have to cut the bridge entirely. It’ll suck for legitimate gaming communities, but the liability is just too high now.”
Cross-Platform Data Sharing? “This case might force a terrifying precedent: Data sharing between competitors. If the court decides these apps are a ‘joint ecosystem,’ we could see a mandate where Roblox must tell Discord when a user is flagged for predatory behavior. Privacy advocates will hate it, but child safety advocates will love it.”
The “Age Verification” Trap: “Roblox’s new facial scanning is a double-edged sword. By collecting biometric data to ‘verify’ age, they are assuming a higher duty of care. If a predator slips through a facial scan (hello, Deepfakes?), Roblox can no longer claim ‘we didn’t know.’ They vouched for that user. That’s a legal hook lawyers are going to tear into.”
Dude, what the fuck? The worst part is that she used to look ALRIGHT. I mean, she was never as hot as girls like the Botez sisters, but she used to be somewhat attractive back in the day. Watching her apology i thought she was in her 40's, but she's only 34.After the humiliation ritual apology to Ethan Klein, people are now sharing around an old clip of Kaceytron sniffing Hasan's bedsheet:
