Randomly crossed my mind today but are there still plans for us to get back up on .net? You mentioned like a year and a half ago on MATI that there was a solid plan, but nothing ever came of that.

I just now got around to watching the latest MATI episode. Several hours before the stream began I superchatted $20 for a video since I had work while the episode was airing live, but I guess null didn't see it since it was so early and it never got read. Is there a procedure for this, or am I just shit outta luck and have to pony up more?

Message was something along the lines of "I think I found a mad at the Internet fan in the wild? You only need to watch like 5 seconds of it"
If null wants proof I can message him a redacted screenshot of my Credit Card transaction to Rumble for $20 from January 9th. I don't know if theres a way to prove it more definitively though.

Hey @Null if you could mention this on MATI, it would be very appreciated. Virginia is trying to pass HB 207 ($500 suppressor state tax) and HB 217 (assault weapon ban) in the next 60 days. If you live in VA please write your representatives/delegates urging them to not support this bill. Yeah I had one from the first of Jan where I baited Josh into talking about his preferred AI codehelper, and it had the intended effect of him talking passionately about how AI will replace jeets and how useful it is, but he actually only read half the superchat before he went off. It's a donation, and not a hard & fast contract of "I paid X amount, so you MUST do Y."

Superchatting early is hit or miss, I would say it's safe your message will get read if you wait to do so when the music starts, and possibly a little before when he sets up the pre-stream chat on Rumble because the MATI site has a tool(I forget the link) that scrapes the superchats in realtime onto a list for him, if you find this link you can peek on it in another tab and make sure it gets caught in the correct bucket.

As a 2019 date its worth posting your concern about how superchats work, but don't send more than you're comfortable losing into the void because occasionally it just won't get read for some reason or another. Josh is better about them than most streamers but you never want to actually pester the person you're trying to interact with. I have out-donated both Hambly & Destiny for years, thank you for coming to my TarD Talk.

A quick rundown. Capcom released a new Monster Hunter game last year called Monster Hunter Wilds, and this guy on the poost was messing with it, trying to see where he could improve performance here and there, then he realized that, when playing on his friend's account (that he had borrow to test another game) he noticed that the FPS was through the roofs, he had gained over 20 fps with the same computer and same configs. Then, after carefully analyzing everything, he realized that THE ONLY difference between his game and his friend's game is that his friend has ALL $500 worth of DLC and his game is just the base game with nothing in it. Apparently Capcom was running something in the background to check if DLC was installed or not, here's what he said:

"And that is when I put two and two together. Yes, you understood correctly. And if you didnt, I will say it directly - the more DLC you own, the better performance you get in the game. Why? Because Capcom focused so hard on microtransactions that they implemented an insanely crooked and aggressive DLC ownership check function. And no, it is not about protection or anticheat or whatever - it is just a DLC presence check."

I had a good time with it last year overall, but when they released Lagiacrus I would have the game fucking crash after hunting 75% of its life off. I wasn't particularly upset with the FPS, I'll play with shit graphic settings since I enjoyed the gameboy/PSP games, if the goddamn thing just ran properly.

Gotta pay up first to improve the performance. I wasn't really sad with the performance itself, i just hated that the game looked washed out and everything was yellow and brown as opposed to Rise which was more colorful. But, honestly, what sucks most is that Dragon's Dogma 2 had the same performance issues, i had a lot of fun with DD2 but i think RE Engine is probably worse than UE5 at this point.

I like Null repeating the point that Europeans can scarcely immigrate to the United States. It sounds small but it’s actually a huge deal.
