What happened to her neck? It looks 2 - 3 inches shorter..

Aside from the outragous amount of plastic surgery, her posture is really weird.

She walks like every single one of her moves are painful: rounded back/shoulders and sad face. Her voice is tenuous and hoarse.

You can see that's too much for her, but she won't let go.

Yeah exactly, she really does look like she's in pain. She also looks depressed. She probably knows she's getting physically old but doesn't want to accept it. I actually kinda feel bad for her.

This.

Her entire back is curled foward along with her shoulders.

Generally, knees, shoulders, and ears should align straight. Now it doesn't seem like this is off for Madonna because her ears are right above her shoulders, but that's only because her shoulders are so tightly rounded fowarded.

A better indication of how fucked up her spine is, is pointing out where her chin is in relation to her sternum. Her head is craning forward big time, thus making her neck appear shorter in height.

She literally has a Mr. Burns posture.

Celebratin' those bingo wings in full force, too.
Ok but are we going to talk about how she's performing an unironic song about being madly in love...alongside someone in a cheap expressionless latex serial killer autogynephile ladyface mask with cornrows lol?? It looks like that person is there less as a "pretend love interest subject of song" and more as "leading confused and demented old lady who can barely walk to the van so I can murder and skin her"

She's singing an unironic song about being madly in love to an autogynephile ladyface masked figure with cornrows that's dressed as her from the 90s, which adds more strange and awkward nuance to that video.

She's had a long-standing problem with getting old. Mostly and probably because her value as a pop-culture figure has to do with here being sexy and having the sexiest sex that had ever been sexed.

And, for better or worse, she's been faced with the reality of not being the sexiest woman on magazine covers because she's just at that age. But what else can she offer? She had one foray into politics that went down like the Hindenburg. She can't act, or for that matter, direct. She doesn't fit in with the older generation of celebrities that aged with grace, and she didn't have the odd good luck to die like her contemporaries (Michael Jackson, Prince) before she got too old.

So all she's left with is trying to be a cougar. And good lord, it is a terrible fucking look.

Osteoporosis is a bitch. With all those weird restrictive diets she went on when she freaked out about aging I wouldn’t be surprised if she had some bone loss. Not only that but excessive wear and tear on her joints from her crazy workout routines (Guy Ritchie mentioned one time that while she was married to him she worked out like a fiend) and she probably is in constant pain.

(Stupid aside but I love the “grandma no” tag on this thread.)

She's 65. Menopausal. Osteoporosis 99%. Joints are fucked. Vertebrae are collapsed and pinching on her nerves.
She needs anti-inflammatories, amphetamines, steroids and opiates for sure to perform live.
You should see xrays of typical 65 yrs old bodies. The decay is severe unless you are an athlete dedicated to maintaining heath, and even then.

And this line is important to highlight.

Madonna has always dieted and exercised like crazy, but never with the intention of doing so in a healthy, longevity focused manner. I'm beating a dead horse here, but she has always been one to go on weird restrictive diet fads for the sole purpose of having as little body fat as possible (which is hilarious because that same lack of fat is what now gives her goulish hands and arms and a gaunt mummyesque appearance)

Her workout routines were also always long durations of steady-state cardio, which honestly does more to stress out the entire body and cause more free radicals and fatigue toxins to build up over time. When she would do resistance training, it was high rep, low weight, endless curl type exercises which only exacerbating the veiny arm look.

Whole foods, good fats, leafy greens, plenty of water, HIIT, with some gentle aerobic like walking or swiming, plus lifting heavy three or four times a week, is all anyone needs for very good health.

She needs to get serious about weight training and not overdoing cardio, muscle loss from exhaustive cardio could easily put her in the grave if she falls. Weight training is the only kind of exercise that can prevent falls and broken hips.

I wonder how much of the show consists of her being walked back and fourth across the stage. Even for a young healthy person it's fucking hard to see on stage when it's dark around you and bright lights are pointed in your face. Never mind an elderly person trying to do it. I'm sure that her being led around like that is for safety so she doesn't fall or if she does, someone is right there to catch her.

Exactly. You dont need to be running around like a mad man to stay healthy or be trim. You burn so many more calories simply by using your muscles and putting on a bit of lean mass. This is true for men or women.

For women though, resistance training also encourages high bone densisty. Pre-menopausal and menopausal women should be encouraged to lift weights to help stave off osteoporosis.

That's what I've heard! It would be great for her at her age to stave off her bones dissolving and being able to be active as long as she can. I think she was poisoned by a particular workout and diet culture in her youth that valued excessive cardio and very restrictive diets.
If she does need her cardio, she should do low impact like swimming and Tai chi and not high impact like she probably does. Her bones and joints must be fucked. Even Chuck Norris does mostly low impact cardio nowadays.
Listening to your body also includes the type of exercise that you take part in. Things like making sure you’re doing the right stretches before you start an exercise. Martial Arts is my passion, and I’ve recently found that practicing my forms in the swimming pool is actually a great way to stay in shape and focus on my movements, but also the buoyancy of the water takes a lot of pressure off my joints. I really love swimming these days, too. These are just some examples of listening to your body and working out sensibly.
