I don’t know why Madonna hasn’t gotten fillers for her hands. They do them now.

When I think of an aging famous person, Audrey Hepburn comes to mind. She found a cause she believed in and when she was no longer outwardly young and sexy, her internal beauty shone. She gave us some fun movies and iconic photos-then went on to do a lot of work helping people. I’m sure many know they owe their lives to that.

It’s all over Madonnas plastic face that she’s got nothing else going on in her life. It’s sad, if one is generous. It’s incomprehensible to those who don’t care. And it’s horrifying to those who think.

Her only interest is her past self. She’s like that fat 65 year old male regaling family and friends for the thousandth time the story about the touchdown he made in high school that won the game. Nothing else in their lives matter-they are stuck in time.

Yes, there is pressure on female performers of her type to stay young and beautiful. Still, there is nothing stopping them from taking a different role (producer, director, writer) or finding something that interests them outside of entertainment where age doesn’t matter. 100% know they will age. But some are stuck on their moment in time forever, and we can’t blame society for that.

She’s going to look more and more deformed, chasing this elusive dream of being in her mid-60s and leaving a trail of hard-ons in her wake. She doesn’t understand that written all over her face is nothing-she’s an empty shell.
She actually has used hand fillers in the past, it's just that hands require a metric fuck-ton of upkeep if you want to try to keep them looking "young". Even moreso than your typical lip or face fillers which generally have to be touched up anywhere between a few months to a year.

I read a novel once that really focused on hands as the marker for how somebody's life has played out. The old and the young, those who spent years toiling in the fields for a living and rich trust-fund kids who never had to lift a finger for hard labor a day in their lives. Bent and warped fingers for those who suffered bone diseases. I think it's because in the end there's only so much one can do to pull a mask over themselves and project a certain image, and the state of someone's hands betrays so much of who they truly are and what they've been through.

I really don't understand why Madonna's hands look so bad. There are celebrities older than her, yet their hands don't look nearly as bad. My grandma is well over a decade older, and she's never been able to get any kind of cosmetic filler/surgery, yet her hands don't look that bad. What causes such veiny and deformed looking hands on a rich celebrity with access to the best cosmetic surgery money can buy?

Curse of the monkey’s paws.

Years of substance abuse will fuck up your skin in weird ways. Madge's been an alcy since at least the late eighties.

Id actually be interested in knowing what the book was. Hands are weirdly fascinating to me, artistically. Theyre really expressive, they separate men from animals and apes, all that shit.

I remember being like 7 and my dad coming out of a gas station we stopped at that was next to a head shop, a lingerie store, and a "news stand" that sold magazines and comics but had a porno section and a glory hole in the bathroom, and his commenting on the trans cashier in there and mentioning, "That mans been through a rough life. His hands were real rough". My dad is someone who calls people faggots, "wormdick" in traffic, and regularly drops the hard r so when he walked out with a big gulp and filled up his car and only made that comment, it kind of stuck with me. I had imagined carpenters hands.

Also alcohol is probably the most damaging drug you can consume. Pharms are probably the safest but everything comes with a price.

Why doesn't she just accept ageing? You are not 25 anymore, you're 63, a granny.
Madonna would have looked MUCH BETTER if she let herself age. She was beautiful when young, natural ageing would have kept her beauty. There are lots of elderly female celebrities who are ageing naturally and still beautiful after their 40s. Plastic surgery industry portrays ageing as something evil and youth is beauty.
A good example is Joanna Lumley- she’s 75 (over 10 years older than Madonna), clearly old and has had work done, but isn’t afraid of age. She stays classy and looking good.

Of course there’s Christie Brinkley too, but I don’t count her cause I swear that woman must be a vampire.

I've long been the believer that Invincible flopped so that Justin Timberlake could rise like the phoenix from the ashes of N'Sync and become a respectable solo act you could like without embarrassment. What with the fact that Justin's solo debut was full of material that MJ turned his nose up at recording and was ultimately gifted to JT when he started looking for collaborators for his solo debut.
Long overdue reply, but Invincible itself was already full of material MJ cut. In all honesty the final version of Invincible was somewhat disappointing. But then again, post HIStory MJ is disappointing.

Apparently these are post plastic surgery pictures and not a granny abusing all the filters.

She hasn’t looked so good since like 1998.

The just like a clock the hands of time shows the age that the plastic surgery is trying to disguise, they would have been normal back then.
Actually her hand showed age first because Madge got real into pumping iron and being fit in her late 30’s. It gave her a buff bod and apple biceps but that shit is hard on a woman’s hands, makes them veiny. People were commenting on her hands well before her body/face was showing age. Before the Ray of Light album.

Her arms looked toned and good, but her hands took all the damage for the efforts.

On the topic of her hands. Maybe she just doesn't use sunscreen and tretinoin on them? Of course it doesn't do magic. But I suspect she doesn't, as her hands don't look pale. White people that are tan tend to have nasty hands, and her hands are several shades darker than her face.

I specifically remember her hands getting attention in print tabloids due to suddenly having big, ropey veins all over them and it was definitely correlated to being a gym rat. Nothing to do with sun damage, yet.

They were noticed in photos where she was showing off apple sized biceps she was very proud of. It takes hard work and tons of reps for women to get biceps like that sans steroids but it did a real number on her hands. It was super petty, her body was in great shape, but the hands did look like they belonged on another human.

I only remember all this because I have a weird aversion to veins so it really stuck out to me as a kid and the message I got was “biceps aren’t worth that.” I’m sure her particular genetics exacerbate it but “lifting” does a number on women’s hands, you can see fitness forums discussing how to try and lessen the effect on women who lift. It’s specifically an effect of lifting and building significant muscles (not just toning) that tend to do it. I’ve also not seen the same effect on women who do a lot of work with just their hands - like potters, sculptors and tailors.

I’m sure with age lack of sun screen makes thing even worse now, with extra liver spots and crepe skin. But she paid for apple biceps/getting rid of chicken wings in her early 40’s with premature crone hands.

DOCTORS ARENT DOING PLASTIC SURGERY ON HER HANDS THEN INJECTING THEM WITH COLLAGEN, BOTOX AND STEMCELLS WHILE TIGHTENING THE SKIN BY SEWING IT INTO HER PALMS!

She doesn't pay millions of dollars to make her hands look good, no one does. The hands are always the tell.

I'm sure there are something they can do, but people into beauty in general. Has a tendency to forget there's skin other places than the face.

Inflation maybe to keep them from looking wrinkly and make it look like they have extreme fluid build up instead, maybe. The science of plastic surgery for old women have primarily focused on face and tits. Maybe there's a doctor to tighten up the back skin, I don't know.

Yes, Helen Mirren, Paulina Porizkova, so many others just let nature take its course and are still beautiful.
Madonna has become an insecure caricature of herself.
Helen Mirren is 76 years old, and there is no way that face is a natural 76. They all have work done. The ones who appear to be letting nature take its course use plastic surgery to look like the best possible version of their current age, as opposed to the ones who think they can stay 25 forever. Even if they somehow manage to not have facelifts, they all have a daily skincare regimen that would bankrupt normal women, because looking good is literally their job.

I've been lifting weights for years and my hands don't look like that. I know several guys into their 50's that have been lifting for over 30 years and their hands look fine too.
Arnie is in his 70's and this is how his hands look like:

So I doubt lifting or exercising is what caused it. And yes I know women's skin is thinner than men's, but not to the point where their hands look like a burn victim's if they lift weights for a while. She either has a condition or she had some sort of accident.

I train daily and have never noticed a difference in my hands nor in the buff ladies I see at the gym.

Even if you look at women in comps, sure they might have hands on the more manlier side but I have never seen something so extreme as Madge's.

Maintaining extremely low body fat is never a good thing for women, especially as they age. I've seen enough perennially-skeletal old socialites with pulled-tight faces, and hands that look just like Madonna's (not to mention the crepey, sun-damaged bosom). I've always thought they'd look a hundred times better if they'd let themselves gain 20 lbs., but the level of habitual delusion that lets a woman get that way is impenetrable.

So I've always assumed Madge's hands looked so bad for that very reason. I've done construction work, landscaping, and worked in restaurant kitchens, so my own hands are pretty beat up, and I'm only a few years younger than her so age is doing its thing. But I've also got a normal body fat %, so they've never looked like Madonna's claws.
