That's some hateful drivel really. Having first child at the age of 40 is nothing unusual these days, not amongst celebrities, but amongst regular working women. My aunt had a child, naturally, at the age of 46 and that was in Poland in the 80s. Shock horror.
Many women dont have to buy eggs because they freeze theirs ahead of the time if they can afford it.
Seriously this age shaming of women needs to fucking stop. A 50 year old new mom, who's wealthy, healthy and whose child was wanted isn't a bad thing. A 25 year old ghetto mom without a dime and alcohol problem is.

This isn’t me, this is society. Fertility equals youthfulness. I think it’s far better to wait to have children than pump out 4 before 25.
But I think it’s shameful celebrities lie about using IVF and buying ovum, giving the impression that it’s totally common to have natural pregnancies at 43 or 46 when in fact it’s rare and exceedingly rare. If you really really want children you should start trying by 35 to be safe. If children are not an absolute must for you, it’s fine to wait till longer but know the chances of natural conception decline.
There are women in my family who have had kids in their early 40’s but I know my family is not the norm, but I did think pregnancy until 45 was totes normal until I got brought into a project that required research on the “egg buying industry” about 12 years ago. I was shocked at how many women struggled to conceive in their mid and late 30’s. It really depends on your own genetic make-up. But one thing that was common was women thinking (thanks to celebrities) that they could get pregnant well into their 40’s naturally until they actually tried.
Go to any IVF board and read the anger and rage when another celebrity announces a pregnancy with twins at 45 and they pretend it’s a happy natural occurrence. Janet Jackson is just the most ridiculous example I could muster because she even faked being pregnant like a big weirdo.
I think the ovum and IVF industry as it currently exists, is extremely exploitative and dangerous to young women. I’d like to see that change. Women having a more realistic idea of their “fertility window” is one way to reduce it.
Another thing I learned is freezing eggs is a bad idea and it’s another product being sold to women, usually without full disclosure. I don’t like that companies have offered it as a carrot to try and get women to delay pregnancy for their own selfish reasons - to keep the women working and not on maternity leave. If you can freeze enough eggs you might end up with a baby eventually but even when pumped full of dangerous levels of hormones you may not produce lots of viable ovum. Freezing embryos is far more likely to result in a live birth than frozen ovum. You can read lots of sad stories of women who found out when they attempted to have the frozen ovum dethawed and fertilized. They might end up with one or two embryos but then it has to go through the IVF process and it’s normal to need at least 4 attempts for one to take. Freezing eggs is a relatively new phenomenon, but actual data on the outcomes is poor. Ovum just doesn’t hold up as well to freezing and dethaw as embryos
The fertility industry is poorly researched and regulated and it preys on women desperate for children in the absolute worst ways. Don’t get me started on what they do in Greece and Eastern Europe.
I also think it’s bullshit to pressure women or men into thinking they must have kids. Kids do not equal an instant meaningful life as all the shitty parents demonstrate. We’d be way better off if fewer people reproduced.

Just to kinda veer back on topic, Madonna had her kids when she was 38 and 42 and they turned out... well, everyone's still alive. Apparently 35+ is a geriatric pregnancy which sounds mad - I know there's more risks associated with older women but 35+ doesn't seem a bad age to have a kid really. You've probably got your shit together somewhat by then.

I won't argue the second sentence, but imagine graduating high school and your mom is pushing 70. If you want kids 10 years after nature turned your oven off, maybe you should have decided to have them when you were healthy enough to do so and they would have been an integral part of your life, and raised as such. Instead of "well, I've done it all. Might as well have a kid" Parenting isn't like picking up a new hobby. Look how fucked up all these celebrity's kids are who treat it a such.

Realistically she’s aged out of the yacht girl scene and her reputation is so radioactive that she no longer has the money to act like she used to. It’s basically try to clean up her act or go to skid row type of things.
I think there’s generally an attitude to avoid celebrity gossip unless they’re an out of control lolcow. There are a few random threads here and there about more specific targets. After I posted that I found a thread on here about the celebrity sex trade and that's got lots of old CDAN blinds in.
