There are two big issues though...THEY DON'T FUCKING KILL VALGAVOTH so he is still going to be an absurd problem going forewards becuase eventually enough people will accidently fall into Duskmourne that he will be able to fully expand the house through an omen path...and it just proves that Elesh Norn's plans to take over the multiverse were fucking doomed because Phyrexians had no way to stop Valgavoth and Duskmourne from eating enough Phyrexian Souls to overpower Phyrexia.
I don't think Valgavoth can be killed at this point. They would probably need to separate him from the plane. Marina is the only one who can do that. Then he can be destroyed. He's essentially a poor man's Yawgmoth. I bet they won't even need a legacy weapon or Null moon to do that.

Marina threatened to burn the house down to kill him so he is "Mortal" as it were, and The Wanderer putting a Katana up his asshole hurt him enough that he needed to eat Winter* to get a power boost, I think of Wander beheaded the stupid thing he would be fucked.

Like aside from the fact that He controls the house completely he isn't that threatening, Lilianas 4 Demons could kick his ass in a straight fight in my opinion.

*Apparently he didn't eat Winter as Winter is gonna be in Aetherdrift, I dunno what the fuck Retcon this is because the last Scene is Valvagoth looking at Winter thinking "I need to restore my energy"

I don't know why he wouldn't just eat Winter for energy.

It was Kaito if memory serves, and Kaito has never really been shown to kill big threats. Unlike the Wanderer who cuts through Eternals like butter.

Valvagoth feeds off of fear. Scaring Winter probably isn't that hard, and then he would be restored.

I think they both stabbed him but Wanderer basically gutted him.

The Details are less of my issue and more that we have -another- Multi Planar threat that was just let go that we won't ever deal with for 5 years until we get Duskmourn : All Will be One. Like even in the Bloomburrow story (which was filler) Gleb got away, it's a recurring issue in Magic's plot where the Villains just get away when its not particularly needed.

Hell Technically not even Bolas and the Phyrexians are permanently dealt with, if either figure out a way to get out of their current places they could come back to power. Especially now that they are introducing a..Transferable Planeswalkers Spark as an equipment....Bolas will want to get his hands on that shit.

Edit : The first episode of AetherDrift came down today, This is gonna be BAAAAAAAAAAD

That first section seems like it was written by a scitzo. on Adderall. Not sure how the fuck they managed to get winter out of Duskmourn. No idea why he just doesn't crash the car on Amonkhet and let one of the Gods take the demon out.

Valvagoth Let him out so he could get the Aethersphere, the demon with him gets to drag him to the troon bathroom when he loses

I have to say Winter is starting to become my favorite new character in this arc.

How about you keep your eyes on your own page, Chandra Nalaar? Chronic-hero syndrome gets you last place and six pallbearers.

I listen to it, that helps because i am not wasting actual time on it

Edit : I just listened to episode 2.

This is so lame.

Nissa and Chandra are one of the worst couples possible, and why can't Nissa and Chandra to to Zenidkar? there has to be an Omenpath there and pretending there isn't is absurd.

This spit fire chick is dumb and boring.

I would like him more if he weren't acting really...dumb in the context as to what is going on.

This guy should be absolutely fucking desperate.

And what the hell are Jace and Vraska doing? Why are we pretending that Jace is a villain? Why is the Loot/Jace/Vraska plot intersecting with this silly Wacky Races bullshit at all?

Now, I don't really mind the concept of a Multi-Planar race. There are enough psycho retards in the Multi verse that would do something like this, I don't know why this isn't being saved for a Core set though, showing off several planes with a non serious plot is perfect for a Core Set/Foundations/Horizons set.

Anyone here do spelltable games or anything? I'm thinking of trying it. Modern/Commander player.

I see the thread is mostly about the retarded post-phyrexian story which I like to describe as "Jace tries wearing different hats in universes based on movie tropes while he hangs out with an unholy mix of Pikachu and Scrappy-Doo".

Eh nah we talk about retarded Cards sometimes, but "Wizards prints retarded card" is such a frequent thing that its hard to keep the conversation about that.

Edit : Also the Phyrexian story was also retarded.

It had a good buildup, the main story itself was ok imo but they totally shit the bed on the ending. Since then they are clearly trying to appeal to the "cozy RPG" troons that took over DnD so every set is an excuse to make legendary creatures and planeswalkers cosplay as something.

It had okay build up and instantly shat the bed the moment the plot actually started and The Gatewatch needed to go back in time for Teferi to talk to Urza about how to power the Sylex.

Teferi would know that, we know that because Barrin knew how to do the Sylex spell and replicated it to cleanse Tolaria-2 during the Invasion after Hanna died.

cant possibly have nissa regain her spark in a core set friendo.
