Magic The Gathering

well that too but like this guy

This guy, this guy is super good. He attack, He Defend..he provide value while attacking and he isn't big enough for people to waste removal on when they probably should.
I'd rather play white plume for a 3 drop if I was capable of keeping the initiative, but this has less downsides because of how venture into the dungeon works.

Steal your shit decks are cool and fun and great even with randos (people get salty and insta concede if you so much as glance at their decks sometimes so it's extra funny) but PLEASE for the love of all that is holy, know how to play magic the fucking gathering if you wanna run a steal your shit deck, I understand I might be running cards you haven't seen in a while but I promise you that stopping to read my naturalize for 2 whole minutes isn't fun for anyone. This is the real tilting thing about heist decks, the fact they take 8 fucking years to play a turn because they have to retardedly look at the board, at their board, at the top of my library... and then again and again and again like the text on any of the cards is gonna change. I'm getting mad just thinking about this.
Very much this. Was playing an agreed brutal game and while I didn't mind too much Teferi, Time Raveler - I got far more annoyed by my opponent constantly zoning out and then asking me to replay my entire turn so he could decide if he wanted to flash out any board wipes during it.

Like dude if you're going to play a control deck or whatever, don't weed up beforehand. At some point I'm going to start declaring you lost your chance and I'm fireballing your face.

Edric doesn't have goad, but it was fun playing him as a pillowfort deck and getting my opponents to kill each while saving up a bunch of take an extra turn cards to finish everyone myself late game. That was a fun deck.

I enjoy it, but I feel like a lot of players probably should just form their own playgroup, only play with friends, or stick to 60 card formats.
I'm thankful for my core playgroup. We're a bunch of former grinders who met at locals and started going to SCG and TCGplayer events with the occasional Grand Prix that was within a five hour drive together. Over a decade and a half later we're still slinging cardboard, drinking, shooting the shit and engaging in the politics that makes EDH a fun format.

Marsi's good, also fond of Kardur but you have to find a way to have him shit out his enters the battlefield every turn cycle
I once built a Kardur deck and just kept sacrificing and reanimating the bastard until 2/4 players were dead. Problems started to arise once I realized the deck had no real way to close out the 1v1 so now he lives in my Dihada deck as a foot-soldier. I feel he's happier there

Yeah, that seemed to be the problem you had to navigate, you need to make sure that the 1v1 you create at the end is something you can win with the right combination of slug and political effects that buff creatures when attacking your opponents but not you.

As soon as you're in the 1v1 just concede. It scalds your first two opponents and denies the last one a satisfying win.

I feel like this is the end result every time I try to build a rakdos deck. The only alternative is to generate tons of mana with cabal coffers/stronghold and exsanguinate the last player but that's such a lame way to win that I always end up taking the decks apart. My favorite deck remains Dihada because I get to play exclusively with cool legendary creatures and turn them sideways.

I have a Dihada deck too, though I'm having a few issues making it consistent: when it works, it's pretty good with a ton of lifegain etc., but it doesn't have a consistent game plan besides playing Dihada and +2ing on one creature. Mind sharing your decklist?

Thanks, appreciated! I'll go through it and see if there's anything I could add to my deck. Already spying a couple of creatures that I was considering for the next upgrade, which means I'm not totally clueless.

I also like Queen Marchesa a lot; since I added her to my Dihada I always felt like building a whole deck around her, since I basically have zero aggro decks

Queen Marchesa was actually my first commander deck and I originally tried to turn her into a "legends matter" type thing but Dihada ended up overshadowing her so the roles got switched around. Queen Marchesa doesn't work very well as an aggro deck in my experience, best built as a somewhat pillowfort style control deck with politics. Pretty fun to play but eventually got bored with it.

Yes but only to one of them (unless Odric is on the board) so the rest still get to turn sideways.
I was wondering of my joke would land but I should have remembered in Magic there is only autism. ;)

More seriously though, I got the Mardu deck because I liked the idea of mobilize + aristocrats effects and... wtf wizards? There's exactly 2 mobilize cards in it. Barely anything at all from Tarkir2. (So I'm upgrading it.)

Stuff like this is exactly what I have in mind when I wish they were doing more set-themed brawl decks instead of this commander decks BS. (Unless it is a commander focused set like Baulder's Gate.)
