yeah, idk why wotc fell in love with copy effects


the fact they errata'd it into making tokens off permanents did allow them to use this effect a lot more liberally, as otberwise u end up with this weird state where the copy isnt a token, but it also isnt a card (iirc)

I've already made space to slot it into my Merieke Ri Berit commander deck. I will do terrible, ungodly things with this card.

It works cause of the stack and priority.

Tap say 5 lands, use candle up untap 3, then use gogo for 1..that means you Untap 3 twice so you gain mana, if you have a way to repatedly untap Gogo..you can go infinite mana wise (or make absurd amounts of mana if you got a high tide, or a Caged Sun or some land that makes more than one mana like Nykthos)

Edit : Copy abilities typically copy the x, the reason clones don't with Hydras is because the X is resolved when the card is on the field.

Gogo's X cannot be zero. You can technically copy X = 0 triggers from other things.

You activate candelabra for A, effect goes on the stack
Then you activate gogo for BB where B >=1 , copying the effect B times
You untap A different lands B+1 times resolving each trigger normally (they can also be the same lands between triggers)
 
Gogo looks absolutely nuts, but have y'all seen the alt art on crystal fragments? My beautiful boy Alexander is in...
 
Mark my words they're gonna do it like MKM/LOTR where different cards will, as a side effect, designate one of your guys as "having the ball" and then when that guy deals combat damage to an opponent he loses the ball and you "score a goal," which will be tracked kind of like speed

If Beach Volleyball is involved with the set, I expect WotC to find a way to make Women's Beach Volleyball the equivalent of being unwatchable, as in the uggo levels will go to the roof. They're probably salty already that they couldn't go full uggo on the Final Fantasy set, and will take those said frustrations out elsewhere.
