We are so back

So, some odd months ago I posted asking for prayers regarding Harold McNeill, infamous mtg artist. Well, as luck would have it, I happened to get in contact with an irl contact of his who passed on my number. We have had weekly phone calls since and he's my 65 year old bestie now. Here's some wonderful news:

Harold, with assistance from irl friends, has managed to get full VA Healthcare benefits due to his 2 year navy stint. He got a Dr's appointment for his eyes, which they diagnosed him with cataracts. He will need a simple and very low complication surgery but the most likely result is 20/20 vision, with some chance he will simply just need glasses. He's already dreaming of making more art. Expect more from Harold as soon as he's all done and healed up, which could be a matter of a few months. Thank you to who prayed and gave good wishes, I just got this news today from him. We are so back.
 
Okay I am willing to admit Banning Vivi was the correct choice in retrospect because The Izzet Lessons deck would have been utterly broken to hell with Vivi.

However it is funny as hell that there are 10 Copies of Gran Gran in the World Championships. Katara's Grandmother is stronger than any Planeswalker, Spiderman or Avatar.

Commenting on the leaked design via his Instagram Close Friends, Mark Rosewater had this to say: "The design team's main goal was to make games take longer through repetitive, slow, and agonizing gameplay decisions. We experimented with shuffling libraries thrice or finding the square root of the total mana value in each graveyard, but both seemed far too quick." Rosewater continued, "We also knew we wanted Arena matches to hold priority in new and unexplored ways, to ensure new players love learning this game. After some iterations, we settled on the token as it stands. We're excited to see how the players respond!"

God they're going to ruin the best plane (after dominaria) and best mechanical landscape they've ever done, aren't they?

Edit: i looked at some of the preview cards. They are total ass. Same generic, uninspired soulless shit. Why do all the cards look the same? Why do all the cards look like they could be from any set of the last 3 years?

Do you think that the people in charge dont realize that pretty much every set looked different and distinct? Every block looked different, not just theming but in execution, even when they were on the same plane. Odyssey looks totally different than tempest. Even the FRAMES looked different, set to set
