Lmao, you are right, I got them entirely mixed up.

I am still not quite in 2026 mentally...
Fair.

I will say I haven't cared this little about Magic since I started playing, however the child in me is looking forward to TMNT, UB is a cancer but I love Turtles and am ready to be severely let down by the set.

I will however still buy the precon and only upgrade it with the cards from the TMNT set, I did the same thing with the LOTR Food and Fellowship precon.

I'll play for The Hobbit. Game always needs more dwarves.

Hard pass on quite literally everything else. The new Lorwyn aesthetic is quite literally the same shit they did in Eldraine, proving once-again that this art director is a hack.
It's ONE all over again.

The new Lorwyn art direction is indeed awful, how hard is it to stick to what made the original art so good? Everything must be ruined.

Edit: I'm hoping The Hobbit has some new stuff for the LOTR deck I have, it should be an easy assumption but with this company you never really know.

I’m planning on showing up for the universes within stuff not because I like any of it but so I can tell WOTC that I’d rather they only did UW products. It does about as much as Vooting does, but I’m gonna do it anyways damn it.

They got rid of a lot of those old classic artists, probably because they got too expensive. The only iconic one that I can think of that popped up recently is Seb McKinnon and that's only going to last for so long.

Rip Terese Nielsen, cancelled over next to nothing.

Didn’t seb get canceled for standing with the Canada truckers? I swear I haven’t seen any of his art of stuff recently…

I believe they already cut ties with him over his sympathizing with the Canadian trucker-protest a few years back.

Looks like the last set he did anything for was some lands in Dominaria United. Again, there's a reason I have zero interest in universes-within anymore, and it's Wizards. This group of retards will never produce settings, art, characters like they did even just a decade ago. UB has the benefit of their good designers working with non-wotc artists and non-wotc stories, which is why (outside of marvel) the quality has been so markedly higher on just about every level.

How I saw it was they normally let one artist go against the grain and be a bit different for regular arts. Used to be Seb, not sure if there is one now.

"Cancelled" artists include:
Terese Nielsen for being into Qanon
Seb Mckinnon for supporting trucker protest (but not publicly like Terese I believe)
Noah Bradley for being a creep?
Jason Felix, David Sondered, Fay Dalton and probably more for plagiarism.

Classic artists still get some cards in alt arts, but you can't expect them in the main set. Alt arts at least get variety and foreign artists, main set just blends together.

I want to do a cube of powerful cards that have never been in the top 8 of a Pro Tour/GP/ect.
Might not be too bad to research depending on how you're defining your search. Format(s), region(s), and the lowest level of tournament you consider worth drawing from. I'd start at Professional REL and then be selective from Competitive REL.
The official hierarchy is Worlds > Pro Tours > Regional Championships for the hardcore competitors. PTQs and RCQs may also be worth including. Outside or that you also have Eternal Weekend and the new Spotlight Series.
I bet someone out there has already done a bunch of the legwork for getting the top 8 lists for many of the highest tier tournaments. Though that's just me speculating because I haven't looked into it.

My favorite. Making trannies seethe is just icing on the cake

LOL they trying to push niggers more into MTG it looks like, I thought they mostly played Yu Gi Oh? (I do know like 2 black guys that play MTG tbf, but lol one basically just plays burn and that's it)

How Black nerds are turning a fantasy card game into real community

One of the LGSs near me is owned by a black guy. Nice dude, though I wish he'd make the trannies feel unwelcome. I haven't been in over a year cuz I don't wanna see lanky nerds wearing garish e-girl clothes. Also they don't do Legacy or Pauper anymore.
I haven't played paper in a long time so I'm curious to see what types of events fire at all the game stores.
Another store opened on the other side of the strip mall from the one owned by the nice black guy. I heard he was pretty irritated by the proximity and claimed it was racially motivated (???) because the owner(s) of the other store are white. I believe the frustration about how close the other one is but I don't know how true the other claim is. Might be total bullshit

Generally just pro tour and the old GPs.

I think I'm going to buy some Lorwyn stuffs for nostalgia's sake then waiting for Jace's humiliation ritual set.
I just hope that WotC won't bully him too much.

The Seb lands are nice. I run them in a few decks. Pairs great with my Hanna playmat, signed by Terese herself. It pains me to see how badly she's looked at now, from one brief interaction with her I got the impression she's a very sweet woman.

The eternal dilemma: you hate the Fortnite-ification of Magic, but half the time it's head-and-shoulders above actual Magic.
How so? Im not being combative, I just dont keep up with the game...I just barf everything I see gay shit like spider man or my little pony on a magic card.
