That's what I just said (but with dark mode on)
I had not seen your post until I hit send on mine. Then I thought it was just funny to leave them both up for emphasis.

Functional reprint means a card that functions the same another card, but with a different name.

I do not know of a site that has a search function for this though, shame.
The closest would be scryfall using a text search under advanced.

Using quotes for how precise you want to be about it.

EDHREC though its not the be all end all. It's just a great tool. If you know the right verbage in Cockatrice you can filter for specific types of effects that you're after , but knowing what to search for, and all it's potential clunky variants can be a challenge if not impossible for someone who doesn't already know.

Here's one of my all time favorites that whenever I brought out turned heads. This was years ago though, maybe she became more popular since. Doubtful.

My recomendation is to look at all the commanders that have partner and check EDHrec or Moxfield and see which pairing have the least decks. I do think we as a thread could possibly brainstorm some ideas depending on what you want out of a commander….

Really you can just scroll through EDHRec until you see something that grabs your attention.

My favorite Commander is Titania, Protector of Argoth.

There is this chick, she is pretty cheap on her own, is pretty aggressive since you are a token based deck and because you want different named tokens you can use the "second or third best" token generators from each Tribe.

This is in the Jeskai precon from Dragonstorm of Tarkir, I picked up the precon made it the Commander and modified it. Deceptively explosive for casual tables, snowballs hard. Probably the most fair "Storm" deck I've seen and I've had turns where I one shot people with Commander damage and have a nice army of Monks left after.

Thank you all for your recommendations, I Have been fuckin around with EDHREC and I built a deck

Cook my deck Chyyat

Fraying sanity + fathomfleet swallower/terisian mindbreaker. If you want to be maga spicy, include estrid’s invocation and copy enchantment so you can make everyone have a fraying sanity.

With any mill deck it's usually a good idea to pack a good amount of graveyard hate, so many decks interact with their graveyard at this point that milling people can easily backfire.

They should print a creature that is legendary and has the standstill effect.

I wanna see how that plays out in commander
Remora, Mystical Fishomancer
1U
Reach
Bands with Blue Creatures
[The text of Mystic Remora but without cumulative upkeep]
0 power, 3 toughness (So it can block Mishra's factory, Mutavault, and Faerie Conclave)

Do people find their pods develop a unique meta? Where you might put cards in a deck specifically because you know how others in your pod will act, even if they're bad cards outside your pod?
It's been interesting to see how grave hate's played out since building Shilgengar. The smartest has just been getting out a "play more land" card and using some all land combo that got bojuka bog out every turn. The other one was Leyline of the Void since I have to pop it first.

True to my word, I'll at least be attending prerelease for Lorwyn to clean up and get some packs, the spoilers look wack now, though. I really despise the obvious digital designs with counterless untrackable permanent bullshit that they're leaning into.

Should I even get a box of lorwyn eclipsed? I loved the original lorwyn block. MTG has gone to shit so Im skeptical.
If you can go to a prerelease or play it first that would be smart, or at least look at the set. At least to me, it just looks fine, not exactly offensive, but if you are expecting the same quality as Lorwyn you will probably be disappointed.

Its weird because they normally included a counter, but I guess they weren't a fan of "counters that technically do nothing." Probably also figure that their main audience is MtGA where its not a problem.

Ok, the set is fully spoiled now. Sorry for doublepost, but I have a small rant.

As you might know, kithkin is the most underdeveloped tribe out of all Lorwyn ones. Treefolk can be from many places and therefore turn up in any set with magic and trees. Kithkin so far appeared in Lorwyn and that's it. There's also three from some other place mentioned in Time Spiral. For all we know, next time we would see more kithkin could be in another twenty years. I understand that this is only a problem for me and like ten other people who like kithkin, but these motherfuckers didn't print a tribal-oriented kithkin legendary. It has to be bant, it has to have "when kithkin under you control X, Y", that's all. Is it too much to ask? Can give anthem effect, can draw cards, can be more creative, like any amount of attacking kithkin can benefit from exalted. A perfect place for such a legendary would've been a commander precon, like the one they usually make. It could include some basic EDH-viable stuff that tribe made to be monowhite aggro for standart lacks. "Nay" say Wizards, "elementals need another five color legendary". Okay, what about at least printing such a legendary(which at least a double-digit amount of people wanted for 15 years) in the main set at mythic? "Nay" say Wizards, "fuck you". And I really hate it. MaRo you fucking nigger. I'm racist now. He made me racist over a stupid cardboard rectangle that doesn't even exist.
