A man attempted self-immolation in front of the White House in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, sustaining superficial burns to his arms. According to reports, bystanders quickly poured water on him to extinguish the flames before police arrived. The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken away from the scene. The motive behind his actions remains unclear.

Videos from the scene showed the man, wearing a pink t-shirt, screaming in pain as police surrounded him. The incident reportedly took place when hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters were marching in the area. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the man identified himself as a journalist.

I wonder if he covered his arm in paraffin wax like a stuntman and is hoping not to be too badly burned and get some “epic” photos
if nothing else it's clear he's just in it for attention and wasn't trying to die like the other retard who did this shit earlier. he was very careful to just set his arm on fire right in front of people he knew were going to put it out relatively quickly. just look at the photo of him with both arms in the air, that's not a man resigned to die for a cause, that's a faggot who can't wait to read the news articles about this tomorrow.

we should keep an eye on him for the future because if this tard is willing to literally set himself on fire for attention he's capable of doing some crazy funny shit.

You're giving this guy waaaaaaaaaaaay to much credit.

If the intent was not to harm himself seriously he'd do a little more research and small test runs. Also, paraffin wax will melt onto your skin and burn you, the pros use a special fire retardant gel (which is similar to the gel inside diapers).

Wait, so maybe Pamperchu is just trying to become flame retardant?

guess he died in vain

Yapping about disinformation while never questioning the information that would convince you it's a good idea to light yourself on fire. True niggercattle behavior.

Hey did we ever find out more about the dude who just fucking showed up walking around outside the white house casually on fire before getting extinguished and tackled by police like 6 or 7 years ago? I don't remember seeing anything more about the guy other than an update like a few days later just saying "the man died from complications in the hospital". The enigma factor of who he was and if he really died or not still sticks with me because most self immolators like this fucker make a big show about it. Other guy from years back just showed up out of nowhere on fire. I remember a ton of Jojo memes about that one.

yeah but the monks who did it this have a weird cultural history regarding self-immolation. a lot of them happened in Tibet and Cambodia and there's something to do with reincarnation and it's a Buddhist thing. so when they were protesting the Vietnam war they were protesting not Vietnam, but the bombings of Cambodia which has a very big Buddhist population. I don't get where this shit comes from, I'm pretty sure in Islam you can't light yourself on fire. I mean if they do really want to be like Palestinians they could strap a bomb to themselves. Palestinians did invent the suicide bomber.
Might be late, but the earliest known instance of a Buddhist lighting themselves on fire that I am aware of is a delegation from India visiting Athens. One of the monks self-immolated as a show religious devotion around 20BC. It surely predates that, that's just the earliest instance I know about.

Give these fags a ticket to Palestine so they can go show their support over there. We know the videos will be hilarious.

The funniest thing about the Buddhists when they would light themselves on fire. they did it in a stoic manner. they did not scream. nor do they scream free Tibet or whatever, what a faggot. if this doesn't prove that the Palestinians are a bunch of histonic little queers that I don't know what else will prove it.

how does it feel knowing that your liberation movement has been co-opted by a bunch of people who are using it to make themselves feel better while the other side looks at every single battle as a battle of self-preservation.

also, the guy is actually a tranny so lamo 41%
So I was wrong about one thing, the famous guy who did it was in Vietnam and lit himself on fire to protest how the south Vietnamese government (who was run by Catholics) were persecuting Buddhists. It was a whole scene where after he died other Buddhists put him in a coffin, but surprisingly he didn't scream.

but if you look up self-immolation a majority of the people who do it are from the Buddhist area or like Tibet and they're protesting those sorts of things. also there's a good number of Israelis who have lit themselves on fire ( I know I know) they've done it to protest civil issues, particularly involving the IDF and PTSD.

so I guess it's another thing at the Palestinians have stolen lmao

No wonder jews aren't afraid of anti-israel movements, if anti-israel protesters manifest by killing themselves instead of objects of their ire. It's some kind of Canadian reasoning I think, "if we kill ourselves, our enemies lose".

I can't help but sympathize with the guy. Even if he is a little late to the party with his realizations, and really fucking gay cause P*lestine of all things woke him up, his conclusion that globalism and American "peacekeeping missions / defenses of democracy" are a blight upon the world aren't entirely disagreeable. Coated in a hardened crust of gay faggot wax, but still, there's some truth deep in there that I think a lot of people can resonate with.

Is he a faggot? Yes.
Is he a mush brained tard? Probably.
Will anything come from his impotent spergout? Unlikely.
Does he make at least some salient points? Ironically enough, yes.

Who knows, maybe the whole Palestine spergery will eventually mature into people opening their eyes to deeper issues involving their country's "greatest ally" and similar issues.

Having read his manifesto posted here, I feel sad for him. And for all of us. This guy spent years specializing into a profession that is no longer what it used to be decades ago. He woke up and realized he is one of the baddies, and it broke him. Nothing he wrote about seems off to me. It's all true and that's what makes it sad. He should have done literally anything else to fix any of the issues he outlined in his manifesto. Setting his hands on fire will accomplish nothing at all. He would have had a bigger impact if he volunteered to drive people to the polls, worked for an organization trying to revert global warming, or wrote columns about the issues he cares about. I guess he hoped this action will bring attention to his writing, but I don't think it will. The world is too cynical and people would rather laugh at him. He asks the reader what he will do, and I think the answer is, sadly, nothing.
