Looks like Brooklyn Center PD has a habit of pulling small town cop funding shit - tickets for random stuff while driving, like air fresheners. From what I can tell they were playing Simon Says and the guy got confused, got back in his vehicle - and then they shot him. Either that or they shot him while playing Simon Says badly.

Does anyone have the details of the cop? Why was/is it believed she committed suicide? What is the officer's current status? It being a woman and her committing suicide would make this one a different flavor.

Other thing worth mention, Brooklyn Center is not exactly a well to do area of Minneapolis. Most of the people there only moved there recently as real estate prices rose to unaffordable levels inside the city proper.

"Too many air fresheners" is considered probable cause for vehicle search in some jurisdictions. As in, "used to cover up the smell of pot".

Flir phone thingy works reasonably well actually. Lag is maybe 0.3s - and you can record at something like 10fps. But build quality is shit and the software too. Totally awesome product as long as someone else is paying.

That isn't why it's PC. The reason having an air freshener is PC is because it dangles from the rear view. In most states having something hanging from the rear view is considered obstructed vision.
