Guys GUYS, some creative shit here - every time your character rests you can't play for eight hours.

I don't think Superhot is really known for that, it's just "That neat shooter where time only moves when you do." Story didn't really make it popular, it's more due to people watching YouTubers and thinking the gameplay looks neat. Due to that I don't think people really payed a ton of mind to the story, so I think it's pretty understandable why some find a 8 hour clock very jarring.Superhot is supposed to be like a meta-game with a highly interactive narrative. That's the point.
You can say you hate it and it's retarded but maybe you should just not play those kinds of games anymore.
Implementing a wait timer is not creative. It's literally the most brain dead video game mechanic. No, i'm referring to the creative process itself. You know, the process of trying to do something new and failing more times than not.
I noticed that the same people (charitably spoken) that like to complain about AAA being stagnant and exploitative are also unable to grasp how small indie games sometimes implement things that don't work.
The creative process is built on overcoming failure, if you try to make somebody's first mistake his last one all that you're left with is copies of shit that already works.
I know that paying for experimentation makes this more difficult but that's your fault in the first place when you can just pirate shit no problem.
Please stop being assmad about a creative decision you can undo with 3 mouse clicks, its untoward.
Holy fucking shit use some spacing dude. I can hardly read this post.Multiplayer trophies with insane requirements that require 4 people or more
Games with no maps but have identical looking parts of a level because they didn't bother to design more assets. They then proceed to make a fucking labyrinth getting you lost quite easily. They will also make it dark so you can't see shit either, there's a good number of games like this and it's infuriating.
Online only games that go offline forever after a year
MMO's in general, especially if you want to 100% content
Fighting games that have multiple Up directional buttons in mid combos
Games labeled "Emotional Journies"
The Dreamcast Controller
Duke Nukem Forever
Fallout 76
Mobile Games passed off as Sequels to Classic games that have not had a proper installment in decades
Brazilians in any type of voice chat or multiplayer game where they're allowed to fucking speak
People who play games for the story
im sorry whatWith that said, at least you don't have to sit and be there for the eight hours. The Witness had people waiting a literal hour slooooowly moving their mouse across the screen for one puzzle.
Superhot is a game with a super cool mechanic and a game with a detailed, intricate story forced to live with each other, sitcom-roommates style.
