While I will not deny that Kindaichi has fanservice, I don't think the fanservice is that distracting. At least I hope not to the point it would turn away OP.Detective Conan (released as Case Closed in some English-language countries for whatever reason).
Don't be fooled by the cute kids on the cover. It's a murder mystery series, and sexual content is borderline nonexistant. So if you like murder mysteries, you will like this.
There's another murder mystery manga (not by the same author) called the Kindaichi Casefiles, which tends to have more intelligent mysteries, but unfortunately its worse than Conan in other areas (most notably, it has more pervy content and characters who are closer to standard anime archetypes). I like both but there is definitely a feeling of "trade offs" when going from one to the other.
In case anyone is curious, All You Need is Kill was adapted as the live-action film Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise. All You Need Is Kill is a good, quick sci-fi series.
Hadn't heard of this one before. It's neat so far.

My favourite mecha design in any manga, ever. Exceptional manga all around, the only reason why i don't second a recommendation is because it is not finished and never will be.Got reminded of Appleseed by Shirow Masamume by the above post. Has fanservice but you can rest assured that all the women in it are legal. Deunan, my beloved.
Easily in the top 5 of manga i've read in all my life, definitely Yamamoto's Magnum Opus. I give the tranny shit a pass because it is somewhat vital to the story and because i first read it long before The Great TrooningHomunculus

I think this one would fit what OP is looking for very well. It's not one of my favorites but i appreciated it for its mature themes and the stunning artwork by Ryoichi Ikegami. Had a release here before Dragonball established the tankobon format so it was this weird hybrid size between US graphic novel and tankobon, made the artwork really shine. All older manga were released in that format here, i remember Appleseed, GSC and a couple of others coming in that, too.Sanctuary (political/crime thriller)
Still haven't finished it but will always love it for its super unique artwork. The show, same as Beastars, completely failed at adapting the uniqueness of the style.Dorohedoro
I really enjoyed this one. Never read anything by Umezu before, so I guess I should check out some of his other work.My Name is Shingo by Kazuo Umezu
An industrial factory robot arm becomes sentient and seeks its "parents," 2 children who played on its keyboard and caused it to become self-aware. Done by the absolute legend Umezu, one of the most bizarre mangakas to ever live, and who greatly influenced Junji Ito among others.
I wouldn't doubt it, but if nothing else, there's plenty of Legend of Zelda manga adaptations. Are there any Super Mario Bros. manga's? That would probably be a safe bet.
Yeah, definitely a weird choice. The OVA is less fan servicey overall, though I do seem to recall a dumb scene of Rally in a bra and panties and maybe a brief shot of her nipples. Compared to the manga, where it felt like Sonoda was writing it one-handed half the time. You had May, the underaged former prostitute bomb expert who takes medicine to stay young looking or tries to take medicine to NOT stay young looking (depending on the translation, I guess)One girl is an underage sex worker? Also isn't it fanservice? Weird choice with OPs requirements.
Monkey Peak is amazing. The horror is okay, but its a dynamic story, one with interesting characters, enough mystery with who the monkeys were/their motives, and also enough 'fight scenes' that are less about the fight, more battles of willpower and creative ways to survive.Since I do research on the subject (because I fucking can) I'll throw out this hidden gem.
It's called Monkey Peak. Well written and IMHO very very nasty horror (both physical and mental Mind Fuck).
When you have the time I suggest you read it.

Yea I've got decades of stuff that I have read so heh. What people read now in modern times sometimes does not compare to the writings of the masters of the past.
Which I am so fortunate to meet some of them.
Jojo is a series about men dressed in women's clothing striking runway poses at each other, and you have an issue with some very brief female nudity from the first series.
Get mental help. You need it.
Ironic lolicon is still lolicon though, no?Resentiment is honestly great for Otaku haters. It does have lolicon but the point is to highlight how insane the culture is.
It's ironic tragedy, not humor. The point is that the level of escapism portrayed is revolting and self defeating. It's very telling that the weeaboos hate this manga for being a mirror for their sad obsessions.Ironic lolicon is still lolicon though, no?
