Science March for Science

So a bunch of people gathered to stage a protest or something directed at PMURT and the dumb Republicans who voted for him because he's anti-science and probably believes in God lol what a fag.

Although there seems to be a misunderstanding between what is science-fiction and actual science among these people.

Le Science Man and Le Science Black Man for 2020 also they are very sciencey because they are celebrities.

It is also time for science to stop being based on merits and results, and seize the means of obtaining Nobel Prizes, because marxism and egalitarianism are the most efficient ideologies as demonstrated by history.

But overall I agree with the general sentiment of this demonstration: that is, that politicians are disregarding scientific evidence when taking certain actions. In fact, I don't think I have ever seen any politician consider this piece of scientific data.

Who keeps coming up with these marches? Theres a new one every month based on some semi-relevant excuse and they all seem to be planned no more than a week ahead of time but treated in the media like it's a normal thing. It's some sketchy George Soros shit or something. (Yes I know he literally funds BLM)
I am as tired of the science fanboy trend as everyone else. I knew this was going to show up here as soon as a personal lolcow boasted about going.

Where were you when science became leftism and adult-children using cartoons and memes to virtue-signal?

There are pages and pages for anyone that wants to check the subreddit out.

Edit: I'm not sure why one of the images is repeated as an attachment at the bottom of my post, it won't show me it in the editor so I can't remove it but whatevs I guess :/

These cucks are starting to ruin Rick and Morty for me. :(

I could sort of sympathize with a March for Science, as people tend to value bullshit and feels more than peer-reviewed research.

HOWEVER an event like that is never going to be about science, it'll be about politics and harry potter (or whatever popular culture bullshit fits the bill). And "small hands" references apparently.

I hate to agree. After looking through the images posted it reminded me of the protest signs at the woman's march earlier this year: memes, pop culture references, and whatever viewpoints the protester holds.

Protests like this will never event to any change to state and federal government, let along change the general society's view on how proper science education can affect their lives.

In my opinion if you really want both society and government to take science seriously, then get involved within your communities and try to get elected, don't worry about making ridiculous signs that will be forgotten soon after the protest is over.
