Mario Bros. Set to Jump to Big Screen in Movie Deal with Universal’s Illumination - Paging Movie Bob, Paging Movie Bob...

Can someone explain to me what it is about Peaches face I don't like?

I can't explain it, but I don't like it.
It's got the generic Illumination look to it, which is thankfully not Grubhub ad tier at the moment. More than that, it's been downgraded.

To think, there were people who thought Mario’s voice wasn’t supposed to be a Super Show reference.

By the way, how good is Super Show compared to the later cartoons? I watched Mario 3 and World to death as a kid but skipped over the original.

Really weird which makes it entertaining in its own way because of the "Mario earliness" when everything wasn't set in stone yet. I found the jokes incredibly dull however. I've watched a few episodes over the years and it seems every episode from the Super Show is a parody of a famous movie or book so the episodes get a lot more out there with their plots compared to Mario Bros 3 and World.

The Super Show should have just been a live-action sitcom focusing on the Mario Brothers’ shenanigans in Brooklyn.

I won't lie I do hope this movie does well. Especially since I have seen redditers hoping for it to fail. Since it would be viewed as the fall of Chris Pratt. Who they hate for simply being a Christian and possible conservative.

So I do Hope the movie does turn out well. Just to see redditer sethe hard.
People who still use social networking fail to realize that the movie won't just fail because "but muh Chris Pratt is heckin' conservative and christian and prays to his goderino, and we are heckin' liberal and atheists that pray to science and muh Fauci," but rather it will be a success because it bares the Illumination name. Regardless of the company's quality of movies (though honestly, I do want the new Mario to be good), they make money because of their targeted promotional campaigns. It would be like writing off Zack Snyder, Michael Bay, J.J. Abrams, Paul W.S. Anderson, Roland Emmerich, M. Night Shyamalan, Adam Sandler, Tyler Perry and/or Seth MacFarlane as failures because of their respective quality of work, but failing to look at the sales. And speaking of marketing campaigns here...

Not gonna lie, their cover of the Super Show intro really slaps.

Those must be a pretty small set of redditors, since I've seen more hype for this film (even Movieslob caved in). Like Chris Pratt is a poor choice for Mario, but the movie does look to actually be good.

Yes I am aware. But Reddit is definitely close minded and don't really hide why they want this movie to fail.
