Should be obvious who the best fit for Wario is.it's over for us DeVito bros
Yes, Mario gets hit on by a Toad and doesn't immediately vomit.I may see it in theater...
any SJW crap in the movie?
The sexual tension between Mario and his brother. Chris was released from jail by Nintendo to write part of it to get it the family love right in the movie.I may see it in theater...

You're pages late, nigger.I may see it in theater...

That soundtrack is completely wasted opportunity. The specific scenes that stick out in my mind the most are the two car scenes: The Donkey Kong land one where "Take On Me" is playing, and the Rainbow Road one where it's generic dramatic action scene music. Both scenes just SCREAM Mario Kart music to be added in there, like an updated version of DK Jungle/Parkway 64 and like ANY of the Rainbow Road themes. Why add little audio nods here and there but then don't go big with the rest of the background music?
want to hear what was supposed to be where “Take OnMe” was? It's the only dissapointment I have with this movie. Otherwise it's pretty much what I expected and had some fun with it.
I don't feel like watching. What are these hot takes from this guy.Oh boy guys, someone totally has some hot takes to tell
Pretty much the usual.I don't feel like watching. What are these hot takes from this guy.
I turned it off as soon as he started huffing the farts of The Last of Us as if it's anything more than grimdark Mandalorian.I don't feel like watching. What are these hot takes from this guy.
Hell, I’m pretty sure this was a popular gif for a while.

Looking back as this post looks like Illumination did pretty much what I felt they should have done. It's so funny to me to read dorks complaining that Mario is "emasculated" because he gets hurt in the movie. Again they were adapting Super Mario Bros, the ordinary player experience to to get Mario hit by enemies and lose several dozen lives through a full playthrough. Hell I never even beat the original SMB World 8 is a challenge. And yeah Peach isn't the traditional Peach who is usually soft spoken and polite. But she was never mean to Mario just told him watch as she perfectly ran through a training course. At the end of the day Nintendo had Illumination make a silly movie that gave some real solid fanservice.Mario should be inept because the Super Mario experience for everyone is Mario dying and being hurt. It's a goofy fat Italian who gets crushed by giant levitating stones and falls into lava. This aspect just lends itself to slapstick humor.
The message of the movie should just be "You can still be the winner no matter how many failures you have." I don't even care that Peach is not going to be damsel in distress, just as long as it isn't her going "OH YOU MEN ARE SO PATHETIC." With that said I didn't mind when Nintendo actually did that moment in Super Mario Odyssey. This was a showing of a "strong woman" done right. FYI the whole inspiration for Mario is Popeye and the only reason we wound up with Donkey Kong was because Nintendo couldn't secure the rights to the Popeye at the time. I could see Olive Oyl doing the same thing to Popeye and Bluto.
Super Mario Bros perfectly translated the spirit of Popeye to Mario, the hero is tasked with a incredulous situation, eats his magical healthy food powerup and saves the day. I'm guessing the movie will be mediocre, looks like they're shoehorning way too much stuff in a 90 minute cartoon, characters are way too chatty for their own good. I'm just gonna be a boomer and watch Fleischer Cartoons lamenting how they don't make em like they used to.
iirc aren't there ownership issues about some of it between Nintendo and Square?Would they ever adapt the first Mario RPG to film or at least a story inspired from it?
Was a part of that due to Nintendo sore that Square released F7 for PS?iirc aren't there ownership issues about some of it between Nintendo and Square?
I recall (probably screwing up at least part) the stuff that was introduced in RPG like the new characters was sort of a grey area about if they were owned by N, S or some mix.Was a part of that due to Nintendo sore that Square released F7 for PS?

You sound like you're projecting. Like, at lot.Pretty much the usual.
-Childhood is ruined
-Script wasn't deep enough
-He purrsonally hates the cat suit
-Wasn't good enough for Mario fans
-He's really angry that celebrities were used for the voice acting.
-The movie only cares about making money
The only legit complaint he had was that Luigi should have been more involved. He also said he hates that the movie looks a lot like other Illumination movies, but then said the animation was one of the things he liked. Not sure what's going on there.
Yes that’s exactly the reason, as a result it seems unlikely they ever will, it’s likely considering this film has been out for a week and has already broken Frozen 2´s records for opening weekend for an animated film, this will lead to many more Nintendo films. Was a part of that due to Nintendo sore that Square released F7 for PS?
