Mario Bros. Set to Jump to Big Screen in Movie Deal with Universal’s Illumination - Paging Movie Bob, Paging Movie Bob...

there is a scene in the movie when they're about to drive rainbow road, and mario is asked if he has things like this in his world and he says something like "we dont have rainbows on roads". am i terminally online for laughing because i thought of the NYC gay pride crosswalk paintings?
Apparently other people thought the same thing, except not NY

It hasn't even been released in Japan yet, it's supposed to on the 28th. The total amount this theatrical run will make globally is anyone's guess at this point.
If it's any consultation here, if this movie opens incredibly in Japan, Sega fags will seethe more, and Paramount's third Sonic movie would sorta be an afterthought.

Especially if it was a live-action movie from the early-90s with Hoskins, Leguizamo and Hopper that's been plagued with troubled production that it couldn't even make its money back. Speaking of...

Even John Leguizamo is on suicide watch finding out the realization that the new Mario movie that's now the highest grossing video game movie has an Italian family than a Central American family, like he always wanted.

Hoskins hated the filming called it the worse experience. He called the directors incompetent. It broke no grounds, but morale. And if Leguizamo wants to complain more about racism just remind him he did yellowface once upon a time.

Especially something like The Pest (aka: one of the movies unironically praised by /tv/ fags), of course.
It's no wonder so many of the people who hate this movie are very left leaning and talk about how much they hate capitalism. The shit they're making is so bad, the only way to get people to watch it would be if the government forced them to.
Such as Legend of Chun-Li, the Assassin's Creed movie, Tomb Raider 2018, Doom Annihilation, and also both Paramount+ Halo and HBO Max Last of Us. They sucked, and anyone who defends either are as bad.

Funny you said Tomb Raiders 2018 because I know someone who doesn't play video games loves that movie. They refuse to watch the new Mario movie. :story:

I guess the Mario Movie reaching the 1 billion mark doesn't sound too far-fetched now, boy the salt from the wokies who tried boycott the movie is going to be glorious :story:

This is actually good news, i hope Mario's success will convince SEGA to try to make another Sonic movie but this time fully animated, seriously fuck this "flesh and blood humans interacting with CGI critters".

SEGA could've done that from the start if they really wanted to, but I'm fairly sure they wanted the hybrid stuff since Sonic's been interacting with humans since the late 90's. It's not as if the films are making pocket change either. Mario may be closing in on a billion, but Sonic 2 made almost half a bil overall. Considering the next film is a Sonic Adventure 2 adaptation, I expect that to be surpassed easily.

Was he or she a typical normie consoomer that only likes capeshit and anything from Disney by any chance? And does he/she also watch shit like Last of Us on HBO Max? I wouldn't be surprised if it's either cases.

They liked Last Of Us and their favorite show is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for some reason.

Yep, so "they" is a normie. And what does he think of the fact that the sequel to the 2018 movie has been cancelled in favor of both a Netflix anime and an Amazon show? I bet "they" is excited because of the name brand, right?

Also remind him that he was put in a fatsuit for the role of Clown in Spawn when they should have gotten an actual short, fat guy (if we're going by the "criticisms" of The Whale).

I get why you're doing that, but you can say "they" if you don't know the person's gender.

Kind of surprised that the Mario movie's box office skews heavily towards the domestic (U.S + Canada) market. Usually these type of movies make like 60-70% of their gross overseas. Not a near 50/50 split. Perhaps I underestimated Mario's appeal in North America.

It's success proves that people just want entertainment not forced black, brown and yellow faces shoved down everyone's throats in the name of progressiveness.
