Marvel Games Thread - much superheroes such life omg

Ugh

Not everyone needs to be on the Avengers.
it makes sense, story-wise.

I don't know how to explain it succinctly beyond "they're gathering Marvel's primeval forces for something and it's going to result in a fun shitshow that doesn't involve SJW talking points at all".

look, it's written by one of the non-garbage writers at marvel. They've got all sorts of fun shit from all over the comic's lore and we've even got the Gorilla-Man from the '50s as a member.

tbf does anyone actually write the penance stare properly since the 21st century began?
No

The best thing they did with Danvers was put her in a coma by Rogue touching her.
the MCU movie on this is going to attract so much tard cum.

hell i'd watch it just because it's an iconic moment, but twitter SJWs will be slapfighting for months when that hits the big screen.

No offense, but someone would have to be retarded to think they're ever going to do the Rogue puts Carol in a coma story in an MCU film.

Just give us back MVC2 already, everyone wants it and everything to come out of Marvel since the MCU came about has been Ram Ranch tier gay.

Robbie Reyes is a legitimately fun character tho.

Weird how quite a few of DC/Marvel's legacy latinos seem to turn out fun. (Blue Beetle, Ghost Rider, Jessica Cruz, arguably Wonder Girl).

america chavez doesn't count.
I haven't seen any of Robbie's comics. My one real experience with Ghost Rider was in the 90's when I thought Johnny was badass. My only real gripe is the design seems too skinny (yes, I know he is a skeletonman) and he has a car ripped out of Fast & the Furious instead of a bike...it's Ghost RIDER not DRIVER.

But hey maybe I'll check his comics out, I'm always down for supernatural shenanigans.

You're right about legacy latino characters turning out well. The Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle run is pretty underrated.

I miss the days when Activision made Marvel RPGs
the third one came out like a year or two ago and it's very vanilla-level stuff.

not bad, but grindy.

i think it's bc there's no chip on their shoulders. Even the new teen "Falcon" latino legacy hero that popped up during the Champions stuff in recent years is just sort of there as a hero.

oh yeah, other examples: Sam Alexander Nova, All of the White Tigers, Miles Morales Spidey, Roberto da Costa -Sunspot,
the Aquagirl from the 2000s, Mas y Menos, etc.

There's no lack of good latino superheroes in either company. Funny how there's so many of them that people like, yet Marvel keeps trying to publish America Chavez books that noone buys.

ghost rider's cool. dunno why they never made a superhero-themed endless runner game with Marvel characters bc Ghost Rider would be dope in such a game.

That's a good point. Not having a chip on your shoulder is...typically a good selling point. It can work when done right and well justified but when you're in "x makes me angry" all the time.

And don't forget, Kyle Rayner is, I believe, part Latino and has always been a pretty well-received character.

It's funny that for as "progressive" as things are now we've looped all the way back around to the point that they're pushing characters that are as irritating and cringe as Vibe was in the mid-80s.

oh yeah that revelation has always been funny bc it just happens in a sort of "huh" kinda way.

also, in Vibe's defense, he never got the chance to be more than a "trendy" stereotype bc they fucking killed him. Luke Cage and Iron Fist and Shang Chi all got that opportunity. Vibe? Nah man, at best we have the CW show's Cisco Ramon.

which. . .isn't bad. . .

come to think of it, Kamala Khan doesn't have a chip on her shoulder either. . .
