The problem is that widow is a dogshit character that requires 4 people to baby her (a mantis, phoenix, a shield and someone to help her secure the kill/get someone low enough for her to finish them off), takes forever for her to reload or get another shot, gets denied by good healers and shields and her meme stun combo gets completely cucked by outrunning her (which 90% of the cast can do) or using a mic.
Oh and did i mention shes a 250 health character with 0 weird mobility in a game where even the shittiest hero can drop her in seconds and can jump around like mr bing bing wahoo himself?

It's genuinely frustrating how true and relateable this is. "Gamer Gurls" are a particular breed of fucking insufferable, and they even exist in my fucking boomer MMO. The same breed that always goes on and on about how "toxic" the players who are still "old Internet" in spirit are, despite the fact they're the cattiest cunts imaginable who would do shit exactly like these bitches at the drop of a hat given the opportunity. Just like this fine gentleman experienced, you are almost always carrying their fucking asses as well.

I was also wondering why a top 500 player who actually wanted to tryhard for the cash would play on a full team of e-girls. But it looks like teams were decided by draft. So he was shafted right off the rip.

What annoys me is that they were the worst team it seems. If they wanted to not be walked down with low diff, they’d be flexible on picks considering the competition. But even ignoring the widow situation, all these bitches dogpiled the guy for suggesting triple support which was probably their best shot at a win.

I hate these people so much. They have no credence in gaming or entertainment and only exist to bilk pathetic men.

I'm sure there are hardcore limitations to the sniper but niche characters are typically the most potential stomping these tournaments provided there's enough of an autist at the wheel.

The character I spammed in Dota 2 had a playrate of literally .4% and a 44% winrate, with 0 competitive play for about 4 years and I used that shit like a bludgeon. If you've been playing from behind your entire life, you are easily the most dangerous when ahead. The general assumption is that these people are either dogshit or insanely dangerous and unfortunately this guy rolled a lemon.

Obviously I can't talk about a game I've barely played, just speaking in this guys defense, but as someone who typed "I'm going mid, please god trust me" nearly every game from 2016-2017, If I was invited to a party where one guy looked me dead in the face and said "I'm doing the most retarded shit and I need you to trust me" I'd 100% let them cook if the alternative was not playing at all.

Especially where 4 people already know each other, you'd expect them to have SOME kind of scheme in order.
 
How well off are these e-thots that they felt completely comfortable shitting on a guy for wanting them to play seriously for bit to get $40k for playing a game? Making fun of him for wanting to win money to pay for his college education is insane. I hate following meta in general and try to just play what I want, but I'd lock in for someone if money was involved.

Every other team ran the current meta of 3 supports. Its basically the only way to play currently, so for them to just outright refuse to play correctly is really shitty.

I think the main issue that you seem to have missed here is that she was also playing on 200 ping. Even if she was a good Black Widow (which seems to be in question to begin with), she was trying to play a sniper character on 200 ping against actual top level players who seemed to be out of her league even if she had been on normal ping. And she was clearly not performing. I don't even know where her ego comes from here because you have to be way beyond just delusional to keep forcing your pick when your ping is already a gigantic detriment to the team.
 
It's also hilarious that he called out exactly what the other teams would have in terms of composition since the meta is so well established, 1 healbot(luna/invis/loki) + 2 off supports with good damage (mantis/adam/gambit) with 2 tanks + 1 dps or the insane combo of 3 tanks + 3 supports which can genuinely steamroll with ult charge generation with gambit. Playing widow into triple support is effectively a 5v6 especially with 200+ ping. It also doesn't help that hawkeye is basically just a better sniper all around than widow there's not really any situation I can think of in a poke meta where I would want a widow over a hawkeye.

In entirely unrelated to the drama news, how do you guys feel about the new season? I can't say i'm a fan of deadpool at all or as a character. I've never wanted the ability to mute character interaction voicelines without muting ult lines so badly before. As it stands every damn game I play I hear the same old annoying MCU tier lines that I can't mute without also muting character ult lines which is incredibly annoying. Deadpool as a support being able to generate an ult in under 10 seconds by jumping on the head of a tank who's taken damage is possibly the most retarded choice they could've ever made in this game.
