This was one of my favourite vids when he first made the rounds on 4chan
You know, this shit kept me awake last night mulling over a dilemma.
Add Terry A Davis in there as wellI agree about the classification. He reminds me a lot of Ulillillia - people like him because he's out there, but generally don't seem to wish ill on him or necessarily view him in a negative light beyond being a slob.
Masao's not selfish or ruining other peoples lives, just living with his quirks.
Ulillillia's thread doesn't even seem to have a tag and it's in General Discussion, which surprises me. No one actively tries to really 'milk' Masao either, just wait for him to put out his own stuff and become happy when he does so.
I remember the old ED article on Ulillillia being pretty much devoid of any insults or malicious information gathering and it ended with something corny to the effect of "this is probably the only sincere article you'll come across on this site, don't fuck with him, let him evolve like the beautiful butterfly he is" lol. I think that can easily apply to a lot of people's feelings on Masao as well.
That latte hurts me in ways that are indescribable.Masao re-uploaded the café Latte video

You can put some seasoning, sausages or whatever...That latte hurts me in ways that are indescribable.
The one that shows his livingroom was some sort of french movie he put on while drinking/cooking during christmas and the livingroom somehow was even more bleak. You know, this shit kept me awake last night mulling over a dilemma.
When I first started watching his videos I always thought his place was an apartment, the one-story motel type of building, because of the front door and how small and narrow the unit always looked. This video as well as an even older one (forget which specifically) where he shows the floor in front of the toilet sinking then goes under the house, as in this one, as well as just being "allowed" to work on things an actual apartment renter wouldn't be able to, put it into perspective.
I try to imagine what the next owner (or current? I think he's mentioned a landlord, unless it was just referring to the city) reaction would be to getting the house when Masao leaves or dies.
In the "Chicken and Oranges" video he mentions on the drive there that he's adamant about fixing it up before selling it and all that, which we see he did eventually get around to now with new floors, replacing the rotting wood in the counters, and such. But I think he just placed the new flooring over the old tilings (without removing it or securing it properly), and in that video I can't find with the sinking bathroom floor you see how he "solved" that issue when he goes under the property, which was just a really macguyvered scaffold of a couple 2x4s in a flimsy looking A-Frame covered in duct tape under the spot and standing in buckets of dried cement... It's "fixing" it and making it livable for him I guess, but I feel like all of the improvement he's done needs to be ripped out and done properly.
Imagining what it would be like being the landlord or next owner seeing all that when you inspect your new property gives me fucking anxiety.
I remember his floor by his couch was rotting in one video and a scanner found a lot of moisture in the wall but he didn't know from what. The rotting floor had enough of a hole to see the water from whatever the leak was under the house, and I guess he said he just threw cement powder down there until it cleared up the standing water and that was that.
I wonder if he bought the place as a fix-er-up sort of project and he has fun trying to repair it himself, or if the reason everything is so haphazard is because he doesn't want to be doing it and just feels "fuck it, that's good enough".
All that work is just fascinating. It's probably just making it worse for whoever comes there next.
Didn't expect his hair to be that long for some reasonAw I thought he was going to do a face reveal.
