No article yet as this just happened, but could be big. One of the largest bridges in the world according to Wikipedia.

I see a lot of people saying this is some high conspiracy glow op shit. Has anyone considered that perhaps it was just a really bad accident this time? Call me a brainwashed soyboy but I can't imagine what the point would be for this one.

Speaking of which, Pothole Pete Buttplug is holding a press conference on the scene.

East Palestine wasn't given the same prompt courtesy.
That's probably East Palestine is all white people. Baltimore is 62.4% black.

Got some more info from my step dad. Apparently it is not the engines that the EPA and Biden had switched but the fuel that they use. Apparently EPA regulations have it that when ships come into American waters they have to use this green friendly, EPA approved fuel that my step dad says is not as good as normal fossil fuel and just doesn't work. There have been numerous complaints from foreign shipping companies over this fuel being unsafe and unreliable with their ships sometimes turning on and off when using it when in American waters. So, yeah, this looks like the fault of government regulations.
Look, if we force the square peg in a triangle sized hole, it's going to fit in one of these days. Sacrifices will have to be made until then, trust the science.

Maybe the ship had a different captain at the time of the accident? Only Indians have been counted, no Ukrainians have been thus far. Synergy Marine Group seems to have its headquarters located in Singapore but most of its employees (along with its founder) are Indian.
Yeah agreed. Not confirmed. That information might be out of date.

Or maybe it was a Ukrainian captain on a Singapore-flagged ship full of an Indian crew with a local Baltimore harbor pilot at the helm?

“Francis Scott Key bridge”. Boy I can’t wait for the “Floyd best nigger that ever lived featuring micheal Obama’s dick and ru paul twerking” bridge to be rebuilt in its place. Half the size though. Nigger cities are all detroit-ing.

Maritime job placement company BalticShipping shows the captain of the container ship is a Ukrainian.

Also the employees of Synergy are ... well.. diverse.

None of this specifically answers why the power failed though.
Maybe "Se** ****" was a little upset about that bridge in Kerch and he and his pajeet crew decided to do a terrorism. It explains the mayday call--the Ukrop wasn't interested in killing Americans, he just wanted to make a statement.

Every ship leaving or entering a harbor is required to have a local harbor pilot at the helm.

A lot of people don’t seem to understand how cargo ships get in or out of ports. Here’s a video about pilot in Baltimore/Chesapeake Bay.

There’s an about 70 pilots working the harbor, 30 on duty at any time. They work a month on and a month off. Years of training, It’s a dangerous job, just due constantly to boarding and disembarking moving ships. But a great pilot can’t do shit if he can’t steer the ship due to electrical failure.

I can probably believe that, but knowing Baltimore and New Orleans there’s likely scum fuck shit going on and the three guys holding up the Harbor will be thrown to the wolves.

I’m waiting until the mayor or Harbor authority says something retarded and a Boomer stops holding his tongue about corruption. Boeing assassinated a guy so maybe I’m hopeful ( if that’s the word) we will get a good old “if only you knew how bad it really is” moment.

What a load of horseshit.
"Vessels operating in Emission Control Areas must meet the following requirements:
  • Fuel-sulfur concentrations may not exceed 0.10 weight percent, or vessels may use an approved equivalent method (such as SOx scrubbers, also known as exhaust gas cleaning systems).
  • Engines above 130 kW installed on vessels built (or modified) since 2000 must be certified to meet appropriate emission standards corresponding to the vessel's build date (or modification date). As of January 1, 2016, engines installed on new and modified vessels are subject to the Annex VI Tier III NOx standards while those engines are operating in the ECA.
The international standards apply to both U.S. vessels and to foreign vessels. Engines installed on U.S. vessels are also subject to fuel standards and engine emission standards that EPA has adopted under the Clean Air Act."
"EPA is proposing changes to the regulations at 40 CFR part 80, subpart I, to allow for distribution and sale of distillate diesel fuel that complies with the 0.50 percent (5000 ppm) global sulfur standard contained in MARPOL Annex VI starting in 2020. These regulatory changes will accommodate the supply and distribution of distillate diesel fuel as global marine fuel.

Ocean-going vessels and large ships traditionally used “bunker fuel” with sulfur levels as high as 5%, or 50,000 ppm, sulfur. Bunker fuel burned on these ships was a large source of harmful air pollution in the U.S.

An international treaty designated two Emission Control Areas (ECA) covering U.S. waters. The North America ECA extends 200 miles from the shores of North America, and the U.S. Caribbean Sea ECA covers waters around Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The sulfur content of the fuel used in marine vessels operating in these ECAs may not exceed 0.10 weight percent (1000 ppm).

Note that a global sulfur cap of 3.50 weight percent applies outside of ECA boundaries. This limit decreases to 0.50 weight percent in 2020."

> Canadian
Naming it after a fucking leaf might just be worse IDK. It is an international bridge at least so it makes some sense. I'm surprised they didn't name after some literal who black guy from Africa that was a completely awful person but was retcon into a dindu.
