Something about having the exact same bookcase in the exact same position for 11 years saddens me.
You could say the same about how he makes his videos. For Projector, he used to write scripts for those videos. Now he just rambles into a camera for hours then edits them down in length while also adding film clips. Before it wasn't just Projector videos he made but also Bad Movie Beatdown, now most of his videos are Projector. This also fits a majority of the ex-CA producers like Linkara or Allison who either didn't change how they made their videos or just made their videos more low effort.
It seems that for every content creator, once you hit a certain level, there comes a time when you realize what the main draw is. And then comes the question of what has to be done to keep the lights on. And how the creator reacts to this could be the key to whether or not they have a thread on this website, and whether it's in the lolcow section where we laugh, or in the multimedia section where we shoot the shit around the water cooler.
Is he imitating Lupa?
I have to wonder if there's something more deeply rooted besides the Virus. There's a real deep aversion to doing anything regarding being around people.
He could be dealing with a really severe case of social anxiety.
Yeah, he is similar to Lupa in that regard. Another thing that's similar about them is they essentially lost relevancy after leaving CA, but only get brought up because of drama.
That's probably more likely than him being immuno-compromised. But to be fair he is very private about personal things, so I suppose it could be possible that he has some kind of underlying condition.
He's not even doing a good job piggybacking on what's popular considering he barely does video essays. That's what he should be doing along with Projector otherwise he's just going to continue to struggle with his current view count.
If anyone's wondering, this is the review in question. Remember this every time he complains about his lack of viewership, he chose to review some random monkey movie instead of the newest James Bond movie. He should of had the No Time to Die review out at this point, as it's a bigger priority than C.I.Ape.
I could see a review of C.I.Ape doing even better than a No Time to Die review if it came from any other channel. The issue isn't so much what he reviews, it's the lack of quality of the review and his personality in the reviews. He is not entertaining or knowable in film in the least.
That sounds like Lupa's beat. We expect her to cover b-movies. Things we wouldn't otherwise watch.

I don't get why they hate Doug so much, the change the channel shit didn't make Doug seem like a bad guy in any way just someone who had fuck all idea on how to run a business and was way out of his depth. Hell, they didn't even leave when the shit was happening or report jew wario to the police themselves, so they are equally to blame.
He is able to get Ashens, Dan Olson, Allison Pregler and other ex-CA individuals to appear on his podcast. I think this is just a case of bashing Doug and CA so they look like victims in order to get attention and money. They left CA because of CTC, so all they can get from the CA connection is CA bad, Doug bad, and just milk it forever like Allison.
