Lindsay was at the mercy of Doug who wandered through the whole thing like a guy who read the Wikipedia page for “filmmaking” and decided that was enough. Lindsey admitted she had to bite her tongue constantly because Doug had no idea what he was doing and was actively wasting money while pretending he did.

Or if they finally grew as people and equated the negatives of working with Channel Awesome as well as the positives, then maybe they’d be better off? I mean I’ve worked some terrible jobs before, had to deal with people I despise, but can always list the positives of the experience, and don’t spend my days bitching about it 10-15 years after the fact

Any positives that they admitted to would also require them to admit that Doug was the only reason any one cared about them.

Also they didn't really learn anything from working from him. Hell, Linkara did most of the same things Doug did for his own movie. None of them looked at Doug's mistakes and tried to do something better, they just pissed and moaned about not getting more fame and attention, or being the star of Doug's projects.

I can freely admit to having positive experiences at bad jobs too. But we're average people. These lolcows are... them.

Can't believe I missed that collab of former CA member bitching.

Expects to be included in a project just because he showed up, apparently unannounced, but was handed part of a script for a guest spot anyway and complained that he wasn't included as part of the creative process for a project he had nothing to do with. To this day none of them seem to understand that letting a bunch of morons run around in their studio space with no insurance is a liability nightmare. Realizes that they could have just moved on from CA on their own like a couple of them actually did, but seemed to have wanted Doug to tell them to do so rather than figure it out themselves(and if he did, they'd have been bitching and moaning as well). Complains they weren't provided information about a project they weren't a part of, and that even though they figured it out and spent their own time watching and reading up on it, and still got a guest spot in it. Complains there was no collaboration opportunity but doesn't indicate what proposal he had made prior to showing up that would have been a collab opportunity. Complains about an international flight being too expensive so a part in their stupid anniversary movie was handed to someone else, but then says they wouldn't have wanted to be in it anyway. Linkara still pretending those bullshit anniversary videos were "films". Linkara still bitching about renting the studio for his "movie" but failing to include that he never sorted out any of the logistics, staff, or anything on his own as if he expected Doug to do it for him and appalled that he would need to work around the schedule of Doug's primary source of income because he didn't plan anything with Doug months in advance.

It wasn't even due to them being progressive, woke, or whatever. It was due to them being grown adults in their 30s when the "document" dropped acting like emotionally stunted teenagers still whining about their first "real job"(and it wasn't even that). This is all very much "peaked just after highschool and still trying to chase that same thing 15 years later" energy while being 40.

Because for all of Pisse-off Pedro's issues, he still managed to be one of the few adults of the bunch. That's why.

In that previous crosspost, Filmbrain is still claiming as of May 2025 that they brought Doug views, and not the other way around even though it's painfully obvious they barely had any viewers follow them after they left other than Angry Joe, Lindsay, and Linkara and even Filmbrain blew those off because he refused to actually produce the content his meager audience wanted.

The fact that Linkara is still referring to those stupid anniversary videos as "films" rather than the bullshit home movie youtube video crap they were shows that at least some of them believed it was the correct way to do shit, as much as they continue to bitch about it.

The difference between To Boldly Flee and the Atop the Fourth Wall movie is minimal, but notable: the latter manages to avoid musical numbers.

I guess the villain in AT4W tries to act serious, like There Will Be Blood but with a Spirit Halloween budget.
