I can't remember any Film Brain hot takes because I can't remember any Film Brain review at all. The most I can conjure up was when he was reviewing some dumb Kristen Bell romcom and he kept making comments about how ugly and distracting the best friend character was, that was slightly amusing.

He's more of a sadcow than a lolcow. What's interesting about him is that he went so far down the drain that he is acting like a terrified old man at age 30, and is constantly sadposting without even trying to change his situation. It's a study in self-sabotage.

I'll give Ralph this that his reviews got better after the second Channel Awesome review. I'll also give him credit for cutting down the length of the Second Channel Awesome review from 43 minutes to 23 minutes because it really didn't need to be that long with him just playing Spoony's commentary without any reaction for minutes on end. A bigger issue with Ralph is him taking down his videos like the one he did on Joker. It doesn't look good for Ralph that Doug handled the critcism of the Wall review better than he handled the criticism with the Joker review. Even if Doug never talked about The Wall review ever again, he still looks better by still keeping the review up with the like to dislike ratio in tact and with comments enabled compared to someone with Dan Olson who did the opposite with his GamerGate video. That's another individual who looks a bit hypocritical bashing Doug for his Wall review.
Ralph still sucks and always will suck back then the only saving grace was he had a sence of humor but it was killed when ever he compared them to his movies which are full of a lot of the errors he bitches about. He sucks and he can't take critism Doug can because he has been on the internet since 2007 and grew a thick skin. Ralph is a hypocrite who sucks at reviews because they are poorly reviewed and any error pointed out he did it but worst in his awful movies.
You're right that he has kind of lost his sense of humor. He's become afraid to offend and will bash someone if they do something offensive like when he bashed Doug for the Robert Downey Jr. Cocaine joke for Pop Quiz Hotshot when he's done jokes like wishing a critic would be executed for giving a movie a good review.
He's turning into a politer version of Spoony, only Spoony actually managed to live on his own for a few years and had a live-in girlfriend.
