It's unlikely this'll happen within the year since to become catholic as an adult you'll need to go through the catholic "Rite of Christian Initiation in Adults", which begins roughly around the middle of August and lasts until the Easter vigil of the following year. It might be possible he'll find a parish that is willing to baptize him immediately, but I highly doubt that. Even if he happens to find a parish as such and rushes his initiation into the roman catholic church instead of waiting to experience the entire liturgical cycle, it'll only confirm to us that he's viewing being catholic as something to cross off a list not some genuine experience to become closer to god.

Regarding the band you mentioned, A Scarlet Catastrophe, I wanted to hear what it was that he was criticizing but I am afraid I'm not able to find anything, not even on Soulseek...these are the only places I was able to find mention of that band. (archive.md is down so I cannot archive these right this moment):

They note in the podcast description that the band was metal core and even back in the scene days that was a label that a lot of people didn't like because it was often seen as being lazy and unimaginative compared to other subgenres in the scene. That being said, there is good metal core out there for those who enjoy that sound, so I just wanted to hear what it is Beardson took particular ire towards. I recall vehemently disliking a particular metal core band from my local scene, it was just kind of something everyone did. We were kids, I didn't shit on people who liked them though.

The only person I know from that band is named Wes and I haven't seen or spoken to him in over 20 years or something.
Plus I was...unstable(?) back then, so they all know me as a rage machine/psycho.

I looked at that podcast and I think you're right.
They seem to be the people from the band.

You're absolutely right. Has Beardson ever even stepped foot into a church? He has no inclination to attend mass or partake in prayer. This applies to many of the groypers in the movement, as well. Being a confirmed member of the Catholic Church takes time and devotion to receive your sacraments. If you are in the movement and weren't RAISED Catholic, then I cannot take your sudden religious turnover seriously.

This was half an hour ago. Two theories why this "minute" still has not manifested. Either Beardson is stalling because he know he won't pull any viewers due to the number of people streaming on cozy right now:

Or, alternatively, Beardson cannot keep a schedule at all and this ties into my theory Beardson is lying about the "Edgy" bullshit. If they really did cancel the AMA, why was the AMA channel and voice chat open for 20+ minutes? There were 6 people waiting to listen including one token staff member and after twenty minutes of Beardson not showing up they simply cancelled the event.

Those are my theories and I will be fair to beardson and here are other observations, some in his favor: Beardson showed online the whole time. After they shut the AMA down, the staff member they had in there went offline ("CoronaBeard" in the screenshot above with the phoned in question). Once the event got shut down they deleted all messages they had made promoting said event in the VIP server, but the Politics server had deleted the messages mentioning Beardson prior to this, I think after the time that the AMA was to have started but definitely before they shut it down in VIP, so maybe indicative of the admins scrubbing stuff while i was clicking around confused. Finally:
