I’ve been keeping an eye on Matt furie since around late 2024 and I noticed that this thread hasn’t been updated in a while so I figured I’d post one considering that 2025 was pretty drama filled for Matt furie. Also apologies if anything is formatted incorrectly.
The fleabone situation:
The basic rundown is that Matt furie in his infinite wisdom decided it would be a good idea to allow strange people that he had literally just met into his home and was then shocked when they gained personal information about furie and his wife.
Team members of a Matt Furie related shitcoin project by the name of “$fleabone”
had shown up to an art opening. According to Matt Furie, they had manipulated him into staying at his house by claiming that “they were so tired they were turning into a pumpkin.” After Matt Furie had invited them to his home, his wife had apparently been divulging private information about their family life. (It is unclear how this happened or if they manipulated her or not), and she quickly became nervous about having them in their home, causing them to be sent over to a hot spring the next day, where they proceeded to pitch “an extremely vague animation idea” to Matt. Matt Furie was apparently unaware that these people had created a shitcoin of his characters. A few days afterwards, according to Matt, he was made aware of the shitcoin “and their promises to spill the tea, give alpha information, and provide photos as proof that they are in negotiations with me [Matt].”
Here are some screenshots from when this whole situation was ongoing. Sadly, I wasn’t able to archive all of them in time, as they were pretty quickly deleted.

Unlike most of furies NFTs (which are pepe related) this NFT is of a different boys club character (Andy).
I’m not going into the boring NFT shit as I’m sure you’ve all heard enough of that by now but basically, and to nobody’s surprise. it was all a giant scam!!!
apparently, there was some kind of exploit by North Korea (?). Matt Furie would then proceed to go radio silent before releasing this statement.
