To emphasize, Cloudflare has been extremely good to me. I spend thousands per month for their services. My technical account manager is going to reach out to me to see why I rescinded my services after seven years on Monday, a US holiday, and I’m going to cite this very specific case where it’s seemingly OK to harbor a predatory troon campaign with intent to groom minors versus a gossip site which exists freely on the Internet.

Vote with your wallet if you can. If you use Cloudflare, their competition basically begs for your patronage. I am now saving a ton of money by finally moving over to their direct competition.

Depends on how much you want to rely on other people. If you're wanting to abide as much by the principles of Internet Juche as possible, it's unbelievably difficult as unless you're laying intercontinental fiber optic links yourself, you will rely on a carrier to move things from A to B.
