Aren't fedpost bans already a permaban offense? How could Jersh deal with it better? Hire more jannies?

And also, apart from saying really stupid shit about bombing places or killing troons, what constitutes a fed post? And would the newly christened jannies be able to make a call between what is ostensibly a shitpost and a True and Honest Fedpost?

Null would have to, in short order, crown a bunch of new un-proven mods to deal with potential fedposters and he would still lose because the speed of moderation doesn't come close to matching the speed of a false flag like the one that ClownFair used as their flimsy pretext for booting the farms from the .net registry.

Shutting down registration and enabling pre-post screening are the only simple solutions that come to mind. Since I presume a fedpost detecting AI that pre-screens comments would be cost prohibitive and gay.

I recall someone, I think he was called Steiner? He proposed a three point spectrum model, which the points were labelled from left to right, Ahriman, Christ and Lucifer. Ahriman was the absolute, cold totalitarian order which chokes the life out of you with it's iron fist while Lucifer was the degenerate total anarchy where it's insane degree of permissiveness has the world revel in vice, sin and utter chaos. Both extremes of this spectrum were proposed as evil which is why they were labelled with the names of antagonistic forces in their respective mythologies. The part labelled Christ was the balance between both extremes, the reconciliation of both evils into a proposed good for society. All of this is very /x/ sounding I am aware, but it's as I heard he wrote it (I have not read his writings myself). Alternatively, the three points have sometimes been labelled in less outlandish psychological terms, with Ahriman being Superego, Christ being Ego and Lucifer being Id. I don't really know much of the significance of this, but it's practically the same concept as is mentioned in that thread.

But yes, back on topic, those that would see the internet censored often reach for the criminal activity argument as their most compelling argument that they often muster up. So naturally it comes up very often. More subversive elements will deliberately use it to smear services and sites which they do not approve of.

It seems like the troon shit was actually pretty marginal on this site (save for the wave of people banned from various subreddits who migrated here, people following troon lolcows, and some of the more political spergs)

but considering troons have tried to run this entire site into the ground, from multimedia threads talking about LOTR or horror movies, with people who tend to keep to themselves over there, they've really poisoned the well and turned pretty much the entire site against them and people who would otherwise only have a marginal interest

I think that's what bothers me the most about all this, all it took for the tech community to go from "HELL YEAH INFORMATION WANTS TO BE FREE, WOOO CRYPTOANARCHY KICKS ASS, GO WIKILEAKS, HACK THE PLANET" to "more censorship daddy gov pls" was Orange Man getting elected, people being mean to trannies online, and stupid internet money existing. I agree, I think it would be best to just let Josh handle the Cloudflare situation. If he is trying to handle it, doing anything autistic to CF or Prince right now would probably do more harm than good.
