TBF we have to factor into this mess how much effort FaiFai put into deceiving and hiding things from her parents for years. Yeah, there's things they could've and should've done, like curbing her internet usage, but there's way around that, especially if someone put enough effort into it. And I think it's pretty apparent that she's needing help for issues for years, but with all the other stuff going on, I can see where she'd put up a helluva fuss if they tried to get her help/meds and the parents just getting tired of the yelling, screaming, and general upset and were just happy if she was not making a fuss.

And now we have attempts to sanitize the record. She writes about how Ralph coerced/encouraged her to have a baby not mentioning that she'd been talking a LOT about wanting to have a baby for years and that (as far as I know) Ralph didn't talk much about having kids until he got together with FaiFai.
