I decided to go back and listen to the Mr Girl episode of his podcast with Dick Masterson as a guest. Well he asked Dick about Maddox and all that bullshit, they didn't talk much about it.

It's not quite that simple. There are no truly direct consequences, but there are knock-on consequences. Certain medical groups and organizations may not want to work with someone who has a reprimand on their file, which could limit employment opportunities. Certain insurers may not want to contract with someone who has a reprimand in their file, malpractice insurance and/or a reasonable rate for such can become harder to find, etc... How much of an impact something like this can have depends on many factors, mostly involving how a given organization, company, individual, etc... feels about the nature and circumstances of the reprimand in question.
