Jack and Josh are really the only ones who use social media. I bet everybody at RLM is a liberal. Mike, Jay, and Rich probably have great appreciation towards the like of Hillary Clinton, but they know that shit makes for a boring show so they don't share it online and make jokes about Star Wars instead.

There are longstanding rumors that Mike is a hardcore rightwinger. Given he's originally from Arizona (Goldwater country!), I wouldn't be surprised. In any event, I suspect he's not as left as most people in his field, which may account for why the vast majority of RLM projects are mercifully politics-free -- either he doesn't want to alienate people or he's keeping peace with his colleagues and friends.

Regardless, Mike has shared many notions I agree with 100% over the course of RLM's history.

I kind of think that may be wishful thinking from those who want to feel validated that he's on "their side". Although I don't claim to know what Mike Stoklassa's politics are and frankly, I don't care.

Mike enjoyed Get Out. He criticized The Force Awakens for not having the balls for a black man to kiss a white woman. He called Adam Sandler a monster for his portrayals of women and minorities in his films. A few jokes about SJWS does not a conservative make. Not trying to derail this trend, I legitimately don't care about who Mike votes for or whatever. They only really talk about politics in the context of making fun of movies, so it's never egregious in comparison to Josh.

Back when dindus being shot by police was the hot button issue, Josh would always grovellingly virtue signal in support of BLM and against police on his twitter account whenever an incident whipped up the SJW internet.

He also beat the new Ghostbusters like a redheaded stepchild in multiple videos. I mean, I can come up with alternate explanations for everything you mentioned that would be perfectly reasonable from a rightie point of view, particularly Adam Sandler, who does people on his side of the aisle no favors by making such atrocious movies. I just think Mike possibly being on the right in some aspects -- even if he's just a fairly conventional Republican who rumor turned into the second coming of John Milius -- would be an interesting explanation for why RLM tends to avoid political bullshit.

But we're getting waaaaay off topic. Is it true Max is going to make a biopic about his dad called Natural Born Killer?

Are you guys seriously trying to figure out political views over fucking Ghostbusters? Sorry, but only retards gave a shit about that for "political" reasons

I'm coming into this thread late, but I've always considered this guy a cow just because of how transparently his existence exposes nepotism in Hollywood. Literally the only credential to his name is that his dad made a handful of great movies (and a lot of really bad ones too).

Some of Max Landis's scripts include potential American film reboots of Azumanga Daioh, Super Mario Bros. and Pokemon. He even aggressively pitched the latter two to Nintendo only to be predictably rejected. The only thing that separates this guy from anyone else writing fanfiction is that Max Landis happens to have the same last name as a celebrated film director.

He's also very sensitive when people point out that his father murdered a beloved film actor and two children.

I am pretty sure the idea that Mike is privately right-wing comes from some incredibly autistic "intel" that 4chan's /tv/ gathered from Garett Gilchrist, a disowned college ex-friend of RLM (incidentally, not exactly a trustworthy source). Supposedly all he said was that Mike came from a racist family and occasionally said racist shit because of his upbringing.

Unfortunately, the myth of /ourguy/ "Third Reich" Mike is probably just that. A myth, and a meme.

...This is so mind blowing to me, I legit can't decide if these are the worst ideas ever (rebooting anime into American things, especially ones like these or the fact it would be Max Fucking Landis in charge of doing it), or if because of those reasons, I am morbidly curious to see them.

We all know who would pay money to see a Mario Bros. movie, so long as it retcons the brothers to be New York natives. For the others, I would see those, if only out of curiosity, and maybe a desire to see the trainwreck that a Max Landis Pokemon movie would be.

Satoshi and Kasumi (he would use their Japanese names, but butcher them) are extraordinary teens who develop the mystic ability of the elements, manifested in tiny creatures, eventually dubbed "Pocket Monsters" or "Poke-mon" (again, butchered) for short. Satoshi, electricity, Kasumi, water. They soon come across a trans-woman deeply infatuated with Kasumi named Takeshi, with the power of Earth and it's only then Satoshi realizes he/she might be in cahoots with the dastardly Team Rocket and their top duo unit: two gay people with the ancient Egyptian power of felines and poison.
Then they all combine their powers and summon Captain Planet.

Needs more Trump bashing.

Add in contrived, unnecessary political potshots, say, Bowser as Trump Goombas as working-class Trump supporters and we're solid on that front.

Reality is stranger than fiction:

What really bothers me about this guy is how he acts like an expert on film-making and constantly criticizes other film-makers and their work, yet the vast majority of his output is shit. If you're gonna be making movies and tell other people what good writing is, at least practice what you preach.

A lot of critics do this, from Ralphthepermanent12yearold (who makes indie films on a $10000 or less budget with the writing quality to match) to Len "Midlife Crisis" Kabazinski (his movies have gotten worse over time) to Hack Fraud "Guy Who Made Space Cop" Mike Stoklaska.

Hell, Roger Ebert, film critic el grande, made the incomprehensible and physically sickening Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Some say that those who cannot teach; I'd say that, these days, those who cannot critique.
