That's the same copy I went with and it works wonderfully. For you or anyone else who ends up using a cracked copy (and potentially official copies too) there's two things that caused me problems before I got it working that you might run into as well:

1. Java doesn't like being sandboxed. You can check to make sure the launcher is clean without problems in Windows Sandbox but the actual game process will crash any time you try to boot it. Simply run it on your main browser instead of beating your head against a wall like my dumb ass did.

2. The Java auto-installer you'll be directed to detects your browser version when selecting which version to install, not your OS. That means the game will run like dog ass and won't initialize any new worlds properly unless you go into the manual downloads page and select the correct version. In my case Brave is 32-bit, so I needed to find and replace the original Java install with the 64-bit version.

I'd imagine these are things anyone with experience with software stuff would find obvious but as a grug-brained Luddite they mystified me for way longer than it should have.

Null was also in 4chan's Minecraft general asking for help, and you know a project is going well when someone has to crawl into the autismal hellscape that is 4/vg/ for help with it:

That said I honestly can't wait for this. I've never really played online that much with Minecraft, much less in open anarchy servers. I can't wait to see how long it takes for either the world or the server itself to go completely tits up.

I found a portable version here that just werks out of the box but it's 1.16.1, not 1.16. malwarebytes says it's clean.
