The alternative idea is to run the server legit and just broadcast it to the public. You'll have no way of knowing if XXXCreeperSlayer420XXX is a KF user or a 12 year old from Idaho who just loves anarchy pvp.

Does anyone really care if outsiders play anyway? If you need to know who everyone is we can all just identify ourselves ITT or whatever and I personally don't mind if random 12 year-olds join because it adds a wildcard element to things.

The only possible problem is that youtubers start coming in and that sort of heat might fuck with the forums. Most of them stick with 2b2t but there are ones who cover other servers due to the lighter competition.

4craft wasn't affected by youtubers (other than them uploading their raids) but this was before the resurgence in popularity.​

This post is blatant misinformation. You can easily check someone's name history using https://mcuuid.net/ with just a username.

Let me elaborate, since you didn't read the fine print:

Of course, there's the issue of UUID, so,
if you're really that squirrely about being doxed, then go ahead and create a new account and buy a new game license.

I won't stop users of KF from purchasing a new license, should they choose to, but there is no reason to buy a new license if the user in question is not worried about their account being linked to their real world identiy.

When they upload 2b2t videos they usually censor everything including the chat (This is also to prevent location triangulating autism).
They also generally get away with the occasional swasti in the background which is cool.

probably not going to do this. after talking to minecraft 'pro' hosts, I've learned the following:

1. There is no expectation of privacy with your Mojang account.
2. You will have to deal with hackers if you use a pirate server.
3. Everybody who plays the game 'seriously' hacks, even on non-cracked servers, so get used to it, or go full autistic gmod server and have mods on 24/7 investigating reports of hacking constantly.
4. People who play vanilla without hacks will be at an inherit disadvantage always and will not enjoy the game.

creative mode would be better than nothing. there isn't really any way to have an advantage at creative mode, it's just 3D MS Paint

Cant you buy a minecraft account with a gift card under a fake name? Use a burner email? Then if you get doxed who cares. Just put up a warning that if you play on this server you need a burner account. You use the same rules for when you sign up to the farms.

NoCheatPlus will weed out all but the best shit, but generally it shouldn't be too much of a problem and if you get enough complaints about a given user you can just ban them.

I think a whitelisted server, where you have to apply here, and no one with an account younger than 6(?) months gets in, would work just fine. You either have to worry about doxing or buy a new account.

Just do a normal server as far as auth goes. If people's username history leads to personal shit (mine does) they can just buy a new copy (I will) to play. You should also use whitelisting (oh, I'm sorry, the PC term is allowlist) to keep out people you think will be fags in game. You won't be able to keep it wide open to the public and not have faggots joining to ruin the fun.
